Peeta and Katniss

The Night Before

(Katniss' POV)
Tomorrow... The wedding is tomorrow... I'm so nervous that I'm freaking out. The baby has been kicking and Peeta and I are having dinner right now with Finnick and Annie. Peeta is staying by Finnicks old house a couple of streets down and I'm staying with Annie. Little Finn is going with Annie's sister until tomorrow morning since Finnick is picking him up since he is our little ring boy.I know Haymitch is going over Finnicks and Effie, Mom, Johanna, and Jennette are sleeping over here for a bachelorette party. After I rethink all of this, I realize Peeta won't be sleeping next to me tonight.. I don't know if I can bare it. I need him every day I can have him.

"So me and Peeta are gonna leave soon. Peeta, I suggest you go pack" Finnick says as Peeta stands up and walks to our room

"I think I will help him" I say excusing myself

"Hey" I say to him rubbing my belly

"Hey gorgeous" he says wrapping his big strong arms around me

" I have something for you" he says

"Which is?" I say confused

"This" as he hands me a heart shaped USB on a chain

"Listen to AND ONLY the first recording this after I leave when you are about to go to sleep"

"Okay Peeta" I say tempted to listen to it

"PEETA GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE SO WE CAN GO HAVE FUNN" I hear Finnick yell

"Not too much fun though" I hear Annie say to Finnick

"Im coming!" Peeta says

"I love you Katniss, until tomorrow, Everdeen" he says

"I love you too Peeta Mellark" I say

At around 7:00, Annie's bachelorette party is over and let me tell you, it was amazing. I got so many wonderful presents and got to enjoy a wonderful evening with my family.

"Hey, Katniss can I talk to you outside?" Annie says

"Sure" I say while rubbing my belly.. I don't know if it's just for protection but I have been doing this lately. Even when I sleep both me and Peeta take hold of her.

As we walk outside on the beach, Annie starts to talk
"Katniss, I just wanted to say that I know you are scared. I mean, I was scared when I married Finnick during the rebellion. But let me tell you, It will be the most amazing feeling knowing you are Peeta's one and only. That he will take you in sickness and in health. Now tell me, I saw you being nervous during the party... What are you thinking about?" She says

"I... I... What if Peeta says that he doesn't want to marry me? Last minute thoughts might have gotten through his head and maybe he is finally realizing that he might be better off without me" I choke out before hugging Annie sobbing in her small shoulder

"Shh.. Katniss look at me." As I look at her" Peeta has loved you for the longest time and I promise you, he will always love you. He wouldn't say yes tomorrow at the alter if he didn't propose to you in the first place. He loves you and his and your baby. You know he would never leave you" Annie says

"Thank you Annie.. Thank you for everything"

"Whenever you need me, I'm here"

All I do is hug her as we walk back to her house

(Peeta's POV)

I'm so nervous... So nervous ... All I'm thinking about is if Katniss had listened to my recording... Right now, Finnick took me out to go drink and honestly, I think it was mostly for Haymitch because I only had like two beers like Finnick... I can tell he is waiting to talk to me so I just get up and we walk outside in the streets of District 4

"What's up buddy? I saw you in there and I know you were anxious to talk to me about something"

"I gonna start out with this Peet, I saw how nervous and anxious you were... I've seen it since this morning... What are YOU thinking about?" He says

"I... I... What happens if she runs away at the alter? If she doesn't show up? If she finds herself inlove with gale and runs away with him and claims that the child is his? I can't imagine a world without her Finn... A lot can change if she doesn't show up tomorrow..." I choke out

"Bud, she loves you and she can't imagine a life without you... I just got off the phone with Annie and she said that Katniss thinks somewhat of what your thinking.. Buddy, it's normal. I thought that Annie would run away but guess what, we are together right now with my amazing son" he says

"Thanks buddy, I really needed that" I say while hugging him

"No problem. Now let's go get Haymitch and go to my house" he says

(Katniss' POV)

I'm so happy to get back that I say goodnight to everyone right away and I run to my bed and take my heart USB and unchain it from my neck and plug it into my computer... Before I can press play, Annie comes into my room
"Don't worry Katniss, everything will be great" she says while we say our good nights

As I get comfortable in Peeta's bakery shirt which smells like him and his flannel pajama pants, I plus in my earphones and press play to the first out of 30 or so attachment videos which is labeled, "Before our Wedding"

Instantly , I see Peeta in our bedroom as he begins to

"Hey baby, since this is the first video of many, I just wanted to start off by these are videos of me talking to you before a special event of something big in our lives, or, if you just need to be calmed, turn to these videos.. Okay so, even though I don't know where we are getting married, I can promise you this. When we are both getting ready, our rooms are right next to each other and the walls are able to hear what is happening right next door. When we are in our rooms, I will talk to you from the room and we can communicate before we are husband and wife.. I know your nervous because just like me, I'm a nervous wreck right now. All I'm probably gonna be thinking about is if you are watching this video. If you are having thoughts about me leaving, know I'm thinking the same. But Katniss, my love, every day, every waking second, I am a step closer to loving you more and more. I never thought that I would be marrying and having a baby girl with Katniss Everdeen. The love of my life since I was five. But Katniss, I promise you that nothing but amazing will come out of tomorrow. I am inlove with you and I always will be. I am sobbing. Crying so hard of tears of joy. As I unplug the half of the heart, I plug it back to the other heart and I just hold the heart and my stomach and think about Peeta which makes me drift off into a deep sleep...
