Peeta and Katniss

She's so beautiful I keep on saying to myself as I am holding my newborn child. I have just met her and I am already inlove. I hand her back over to her mother who cannot break the smile off her face.

"thank you katniss" I simply tell her as I kiss her forehead gently as Liliana is placed into her mothers arms

"no, thank you." she tells me while giving me a passionate kiss on the lips until it is broken away by the sound of a door opening

sure enough, finnick and Annie walk in with nothing but amazement in there eyes

"she is so beautiful" Annie says as she kisses katniss on the cheek and Lilliana on the forehead as she passes her onto finnick

"my goddaughter sure is beautiful" finnick says to me while he holds Lilliana close to him

"I know." I simply tell him as he gives me a smile and hands me back my daughter before sitting down on the sofa in katniss' recovery room.

"so, has anyone else came to see her?" Annie asks katniss

"nope. you guys were the first to see her!" Katniss says smiling

not to long after she says this, Haymitch walks in with Effie following behind him. "where's the little one?" he says almost sounding different from what he usually sounds like

"hold on, are you sober?"
katniss asks him before I hand her into his arms

"ofcourse I am. I haven't drank since your wedding. don't worry. I will be careful. I promise" he says as katniss gives me a reassuring look telling me I can hand her off for him to hold.

for the first time, Haymitch gave a heart warming smile "hey there you! your parents are two of my bestest friends and now I'm so glad they have you! you are going to love them, trust me." Haymitch says as I see one tear streaming down his face.

"she's beautiful." he tells me and katniss as he hands her back over to katniss

A few hours later after everyone leaves

Katniss' POV

"Shes so beautiful Peeta" I tell him not locking my eyes off my daughters

"she gets all of her beauty from you" peeta tells me as he kisses my temple.

"and you. she has your beautiful eyes and nose" I say as he just laughs and kisses me again

"yes but everything else was inherited from her beautiful mother" he says which makes me kiss him full on the lips with a smile he can defiantly feels throughout the kiss.
