Peeta and Katniss

6 months!

today Lilliana has turned 6 months old and Peeta and I could not be more happy in our lives.

and with her growing older, she has also been showing her personality a lot more. already, I know she's a daddy's girl. even though she loves me just as much as I love her, you can always see that sparkle in her eyes when peeta holds her, plays with her, and even talks to her

she has my facial expressions for just about everything except for her smile. she defiantly got that from her father. but every other expression is mine . when she is mad at something, her eyebrows move the same way mine do. when she sleeps, she sleeps exactaly like her mamma. but my favorite is when she's so concentrated in whatever she's doing she gets my focused face when I'm hunting which to me is so darn cute. I love her so much and these sixth months made my eyes open about living life and being blessed for what I have because even though The odds were never in my favor in the past, my future has been turning out very amazing so far. I have an amazing husband and a beautiful daughter who I love dearly

after thinking about everything that has happened in the past months and how lucky my future seems to be going, I hear Lilliana blabbering from the little monitor that sits on my nightstand and when I go to look at it, I see her playing with her toys in her crib sitting up and crawling all around her crib. my big girl.

as I get out of peetas warm arms, I go across the hall to Lilliana's bedroom and I see her bright big smile light up as I walk into her room and pick her up

"is my baby Lilly awake?" I say in a baby voice

she starts to laugh and throw her hands up an down signaling for me to pick her up

"don't worry mamas got you"I tell her and what happens next makes the tears start flooding

"mama" Lilliana says while pointing to me

"what did you just say ?" I ask her again knowing she doesn't understand me. and that's when It starts

"mamamamamamamamamaamamamamamamamamama"
she says as she is giggling and squirming in my arms

"oh my god baby you said mama" I say while tears of joy start flowing as I press her into a tight hug of course not harming her

"PEETA" I call out and seconds later he runs in

"what happened ? are you okay? is Lilliana okay?" he says obviously in panick because of my cries and how loud I screamed

"I am perfectly fine, she is perfectly fine"I say

"then what is it?"he asks coming closer as I hand Lilliana to him and she starts to giggle

and it doesn't take long for her to start again with her hand pointing in my direction
"mamamamamamamamamaamamamamamamamamama"

"oh my god Lilly" peeta says while hugging her as she starts to get even more happier

"she said her first word peeta. she said mama" I tell him with tears of joy

"our baby girl is growing up"he says

"yes she is peeta. yes she is" I tell him as we all hug each other not letting go
