Peeta and Katniss

Chapter 12

Then, I hear a familiar voice. A voice whom I thought belonged to a person who died in the rebellion who had said To me

"congratulations girl on fire"

"Finnick?" I say as I turn around and hug him " I thought u were dead?"

"Why don't you sit down and i will explain how I'm alive" he says as he goes up to Peeta and hugs him

"Missed ya brotha" Peeta says

"Missed ya too hubby" Finnick says playfully. During the rebellion, Finnick and Peeta had created a playful bromance where they pretended they were like married brothers who never leave each other's side(brusbens). And I got to admit, it's pretty funny when they are together.

All me and Annie can do is laugh while Finnick sits down next to Annie who is also laughing with us but then, Finnick decides to stop laughing as he gets serious

"So, when I was in the tunnel, the lizard mutts didn't eat me alive, I happened to have a knife in my pocket as one lizard went to bite off my head.My trident had droped somewhere and i couldnt find it.if i havent have had my knife, i would of died right there and then, but didn't cause I stabbed the mutts right in the heart before it could kill me.. Although, onr of the mutts had bitten off my arm which was bleeding a river of blood until I was found by my cousin who I didn't know fairly well. Me and her had only met a couple of times when we were small, but i never rememebered her. Although, as she dragged me away into a secret hospital, she explained how and why she was here and how I had to stay down there until the rebellion was over and until my arm was replaced into an amputated arm."

"So you were alive during this whole rest of the rebellion..why didn't you come sooner to tell everyone?" Peeta says

"I couldn't! I found out that the rebellion ended and they sent me to 2 without my knowledge. I didnt know wrong from write so I was put into a deep sleep for two months. now I wasnt in a coma or anything, but, i was put to sleep until i was able to wake up.one of the doctors put me in this deep sleep when removeing the rest of my arm. I simply couldn't remember anything until one night(which was last week), I Remembered Annie, you, Peeta, Johanna.Everyone! So that's when I came back to four to suprise Annie and I got to meet my son" Finnick as he picks up Finn

All I can do is smile until me, Peeta, Annie, and Finnick start randomly talking about random stuff until I realize it's five thirty and I need to go and see my mother with Peeta.

As I look at Peeta, he soon quickly knew what I meant by the way I looked at him so he says

" listen is it okay if Katniss and I go to the hospital to go see Katniss' mother and tell her the news?"he says

"Ofcourse! Just can u guys be back at 6:30? We wanted to take a walk with you guys on the beach and have a barbecue Before Finn has to go to sleep. You guys can use our Jeep if you want here's the keys!" Annie says

"Thanks we will be back by six thirty I say before we exit the house and get into the jeep.

Like the person Peeta is, he opens my passenger seat door and waits for me to get in before closes it and gets to the drivers seat and drives to the hospital which takes about 5 minutes.

As Peeta gets out, he opens my door and offers me one of his hands before he shuts the door. I can tell Peeta's nervous as we enter the hospital because his hand is shaking and he has that worried look in his eye.

"Peeta. Don't worry. Everything will be fine" I say

"Okay.okay." He says as he calms down a little
