"Yeah, everything alright" Lucy simply answered, while Eve just stared at her with an eyebrow raised. These wasn't new, Lucille constantly got lost on her thoughts and the blonde woman knew it. But Eve was staring at the faint marks on the kids cheeks. They looked like nails, the blonde woman had an idea of what had happened, but Eve wasn't sure if Tom was going to be in the school's show. But if he was Eve already knew what happened, it would not be new.
It had already been several times that Lucy would come to her home late at night or very early in the morning with bruises and with her hair being a mess. Other times Lucy would called her at middle of the night or at any time of the day in middle of a panic attack.
Tom always put Lucy in so much pressure, the kid was always stressed something that shouldn't be, the brunette was just 12 years old and was already working, paying bills and taking care of others. And no one took care of her, since Eve met Lucille, she has try to help her in anything she could.
Not because he was sorry, but because Lucy deserved it; someone to take care of her and treat her well. She deserved to be a girl too, like others her age even though she was with people two years older than her at school.
Eve knew that normally Lucy only spoke to adults because it was with whom she surrounded he hem just like Sophie and Noah who was her best friend. But the teen basically didn't have a live, in the morning she would go to school, then in the afternoon Lucy would take care of Sophie, make dinner and then go to work in whatever she could find and when Lucille had free time, she took that time to make homework or sometimes study.
-"But answering your question, Joselyn talked to me the other day, she told me that it was up to me if I wanted to stay with Mr Adams or if I wanted to be placed with other family" Lucy kept going "Okay, and what did you answered? And who is Joselyn?" Eve was the one who talked "She's my new social worker, Anna decided that she liked more doing paper work. I told her that I wanted to stay. I'm not just leaving Sophie with Tom. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving her alone" The young girl explained, Lucille knowing that Eve would not be that happy with her answer but understanding her reasons. "Honey... Are you sure about that... Luce, the last time we saw each other, you were all bruised and let alone slept. Lucy you can't keep going like this" Eve said.
Normally this would have annoyed Lucy, but the young teen knew Eve just was worried about her. That was true, the last time they saw each other Lucy was on the verge of a collapse, Mr Adams grounded her because she didn't make it on time after school. "I know, but that day was my foult... I should have try and make it on time. I should have rushed more" Both girls had have this conversation million of times, about how Lucy shouldn't feel guilty about what happens in her life and how it wasn't her responsibility to take care of others.
For a long time, Eve begged Lucille to go to a psychologist and the blonde would promise to go with her and not leave her side. The older woman knew that the young woman didn't have good experiences with psychologists.
"Okay, if you want to stay with him it's alright, but if he hurts you or Sophie I want you to call me immediately..." Eve wouldn't bother on hiding her worry, the Blonde understood Lucy's dilemmas but she had to understand also needed someone to take care of her because she was only 12 years old, it was not her responsibility to be caring for and keeping the person who is supposed to take care of her. Lucy also had to understand that it was okay to lean on others and ask for help, on Eve especially.
The woman really loved Lucy, that wasn't a secret. Eve wouldn't lie saying that she hasnt thought several times about adopting Lucy, they were practically family, Eve had seen Lucy grow up for years, since she was 3 years old to be exact. The blonde has seen each other cry, scream and laugh even give up and recover alone, year after year, have taken care of each other and celebrated the successes of each of other.
Both girls kept talking about Lucy's foster dad and her situation. Eve making Lucille promise that if something happened she would call her no matter what. And Lucy as always that they had this conversation, was just rolling her eyes at the older woman and saying her famous "yes yes yes" and getting annoyed. Some minutes later, their food came and just kept talking about other subjects. More than anything Lucy complaining about how annoying and stupid her classmates are and a lot of people she knew in general are while Eve was just laughing and telling her to be patient.
- Finally, Alex had decided she would call her mother and talk tell her the situation, this decision was made after a night full of headaches and 2 sessions of vomiting and very short visions to understand them. The Agent was officially done with it, she wanted to understand what the heck was happening and for some reason she thinks her mother has to do something with it.
It was saturday morning, last night was Ruby's talent show and her last talk with Lucille and as always, now she couldn't stop talking about her, but this time was different, always when they talk Alex would start having those weird visions. But this time, apart from the visions Alex couldn't help but feel worried about the young teen.
Lucille's shaking, teary eyes and those marks on her cheeks weren't normal. That kid just looked nervous that day, and if for an adult having anxiety wasn't good, much less for a kid. Alex had been thinking of trying to talk with Lucy, check that everything was going well in her home. They already knew each other a little, had already spoken on several occasions, perhaps not in the best way but at least they had already spoken even though the first time, Alex had threatened to arrest her.
Another idea he had was to tell Lena to talk to Eve because apparently the blonde and the teenage girl knew each other. Let the CEO ask her assistant if she knew anything about Lucille's family and if everything was fine at home. Just knowing the girl's safe. Of course, this was if Alex couldn't get information out of the teen.
Since the older Danvers basically knew nothing of Lucy apart from her name and that she had a younger sister, and the last thing was because there was the possibility that Alex may have spied on a conversation of both girls.
Alex had a feeling that maybe Lucy didn't like her very much. Maybe Alex could try talking to Lucy's sister. Because if Lucille was in danger, it meant the little girl was in danger too. The Agent really wanted to meet Lucy, being able to talk to her, in a normal way, not when they're bothering each other. But to be able to talk to her and be her friend just like Eve was.
But for now, Alex would focous on calling her mother and ask her for help. The DEO agent and her little sister had agreed on calling Eliza yesterday night, Kara should be arriving at the danvers' older apartment in a few minutes. For some minutes Alex kept thinking about everything until she heard a couple of knocks on her door.
Knock knock knock...
