- No, no, no... She shouldn't have left Lucy alone. But who knew this could happen, Tom was home at least that's what it seemed there was his car, it didn't make sense... He had gone in the morning to a work trip and at least that was 2 weeks of Tom been gone.
Lucy seemed to be wrong this time, Sophie being alone with Mr Adams could end up very wrong. Tom was about 6'3 feet tall and 275 pounds while Sophie was just 4"11 feet and barely 39 pounds,it was practically a losing battle for Sophie.
Lucy was almost arriving home when she heard a yell and then a sharp sound. Something was wrong, the blue-eyed girl let all of her grocery bags fall to the ground and started running towards the small old house.
When the teen arrived, of course the fucking door was locked. She was starting to panic a little, she better than anyone knew what Tom was capable of doing to people weaker than him.
She could hear Sophie screaming for her, she needed to enter to the house. Lucy knew a place where was always open, a broken window. Tom had broken that window one day he was mad at her and he was angry. Right now she was glad at that.
But damn her stature, climbing that window was hard. And now she had a piece of glass embedded in her calf. But she didn't matter, right now Sophia was all that matter.
- The teen didn't like the view a little, her sister was in the floor curled up in a tight ball, her arms covering her head trying to protect herself. Mr Adams has a cane with nails in it... He was hitting the little girl with it while screaming at her to shut up and stop crying.
Lucy's heart broke completely, this was all her fault. She rushed to Tom and grabbed his arm trying to separate him from Sophie, obviously it didn't work, it only made things worse.
Tom took her by the hair and began to drag her from it back into the small closet. By this point she was crying too. Lucy was hitting the door with all her strength trying to get out. She was yelling.
-"Please! Don't hurt her" she started, but there wasn't much to do.
"Im here, leave her alone. Take me instead of her!" Lucy tried again, she didn't want Sophie to get even more hurt.
" I'm begging you, Mr Adams please" The latter came out in whisper, she had been yelling who knows how long. All this time hearing Sophie yell and sob for her to help her.
-"Shut the fucking up! I'm so fed up of both of you. Grow up! You always cry from everything" Lucy could hear Tom yelling at the small curly haired brunette
"Honestly I don't think your parents died in a car crash. I think they did it on purpose, they were so tired of you that they preferred to kill themselves!" That fucking asshole, how could he tell something like that to a child.
-"Shut up! Don't say something like that to the kid. Sophie that's not truth... Your parents loved you so much. Listen Mr Adams, I promise that if you ever say something like that to Sophia again you'll regret it!" Lucy was furious. She was not going to let Tom talk like that to Sophie.
That did anything. It has been two hours or three maybe even four, Lucy wasn't sure anymore and Mr Adams hasn't stopped, she was still trying to get out of the closet, Lucille was trying with everything she had. That was until everything stopped abruptly...
Tom was panting, the teen could hear him but she couldn't hear her sister anymore. Everything was dead silence. Lucy got scared.
Some minutes later, she could here someone fidgeting with the lock of the closets door before it was open. Tom was there in front of her, his face was red and sweaty. There were visible veins in his neck and forehead.
