- Alex was so fucking nervous, honestly she really didn't want to call her mother. But the DEO agent knew it was something she needed to do. It was her health the one that was at stake, which meant that her work was also in danger and the redhead wasn't willing to stop working, and if that meant she was going to have to feel uncomfortable and endure her mother's cermons because she was putting her life at risk, she was going to do.

Kara had just arrived to her apartment, they were just about to have breakfast. Alex was finishing cooking while Kara was sat in a sofa in the living room using her phone. The sisters were going to plan what and how they were going to tell Eliza while they were having breakfast.
Both of them were scared, it wasn't a secret for anyone that, were scared of Eliza, Nonn of the sisters have talked to Eliza in some time, and calling just to tell her that Alex was "sick", could end very badly. The only thing they were sure about was that there was a big possibility of Eliza not reacting well.
15 minutes later, the sisters were sitting in the dining room, quietly eating pancakes. Neither of the Danvers knew how to start the conversation. This is probably one of the most uncomfortable and awkward breakfasts they have ever had together. But both sisters had made up their mind, they were going to tell their mother what was going on.
-"So... What are we telling her?" Kara was the one who talked first. "I don't know, maybe it's better to go straight to the point, you know like no ramble?" Alex replied, she wanted to finish this as fast as possible. The DEO agent hadn't slept in days, let alone concentrated or eat properly.
This thanks to all of her symptoms, Alex really wanted it to end. There were plenty of reasons, her job, her family was worried about her, her friends and the most important, her life in general.
Alex had just met a cute girl the other day, Kelly Olsen was her name, she was a successful psychologist and James Olsen sister, Alex remember. Some days ago, the older Danvers had started feeling better and ready to date again. Yes, it was true, it took her some time getting over Maggie. But the dectetive had been someone really influential in Alex's life.
If it weren't for Maggie, Alex would never have really accepted who she really was. And the agent would always appreciate it but now, after several months, she felt ready for it again, especially since she met Kelly.
Kelly was very different from Maggie, Alex had noticed. In one hand Maggie was tough, reserved and a little chaotic, while in the other hand, the psychologist was sweet, smart understanding and kind and caring. Don't get her wrong, Maggie was all of that too, but with Kelly, the Agent felt different. A good type of different, in a way she hasn't feel in a long time.
Kelly made Alex happy, maybe in the future they could be a couple. Of course only if things go okay, but for first time in a long while, Alex felt hopeful. Maybe the Agent could be happy. Something Alex didn't know she was able to.
But for now Alex and Kara would call their mother and ask her for help. Alex could think of her love life later. The agent and the alien had agreed that the oldest danvers was the one o who would talked and Kara would be there as her moral support. Because if Alex had no idea of what was going on with herself much less would kara know.
Alex wasn't sure what she was going to tell Eliza, The redhead had decided that she would just let the conversion flow and let it come out however it will. After having breakfast, Kara took her phone and start dialing Eliza's phone number, this before looking at Alex one last time asking a silent question. The DEO agent just limited to nod.
