I woke up to my phone ringing I looked at my phone time seeing it's 3 am in The morning I declined Nancy's call attempting to go back to sleep
My phone rang once again it was Nancy
"Tk?" She said
"Nancy it's 3 in the morning are you okay ?" I asked sitting up in my bed
"Tk it's Carlos ..he's hurt pretty bad I think you need to get here ." She said making my whole body tense up
"Tk?" She said making me realize I've been silent
"Uh- yeah I'll be there as soon as I can ." I said hanging up getting up throwing on a pink hoodie with black sweatpants wiping the tear from my face
I went to go wake Ellie up
"Bug you gotta get up ..." I whispered getting her out of bed
"I'm tired ." She said
" I know sweeting your gonna go stay with grandpa for a little okay?" I said getting her dressed
"Like a sleep over ?" She questioned rubbing her eyes
"Yeah just like a sleep over ." I said as we got into the car
We got to my dads house I knocked on the door as my dad answered
"Hey did I wake you ?" I said putting Ellie down
"No I was up is everything okay ?." He said looking at me as I let Ellie run inside
"Something happened to Carlos I don't know anything but that he's in the hospital can you watch Ellie please." I asked
"Yeah of course keep me posted .." he said
"Thank you dad I will ." I said heading off to my car
I got to the hospital seeing Nancy waiting for me
"Hey.. what happened ?" I said concerned liking at her and the amount of blood on Veronica
Nancy just stood there and looked at me as Veronica took a deep breath
" we were trying to take out a terrorist and the guy made it look like he was abused and he ended up tying Carlos up and beating him and he cut his side and he bled a good amount .." Veronica said as a tear rolled down my face
"Hey it's okay ." Nancy said pulling me into a hug
"He's stable and awake so you can go see him ." Nancy said as I pulled out of the hug
"Thanks ." I said heading to go see him
I peaked open the door seeing Carlos he had bruises he looked pale and tired I hated seeing him like this
"Hey.." Carlos said looking at me as I made my way over
"Hey ..Los how you feeling ?" I said hugging him lightly trying not to hurt him
"Alright .." Carlos said looking at me
"Tk your not gonna hurt me come here ." Carlos said patting for me to sit on the side of his bed
"Where's Ellie is she okay ?" Carlos asked looking at me concerned
"She's okay she's at my dads ?" I said stroking his cheek
"What are we gonna tell her ?" He asked looking at me
" let's not worry about that right now babe the important thing is that you okay ."
"I'm I'm sorry I should've been more careful- I didn't know it was a - a trap ." Carlos said
"Hey hey no this is not your fault ." I said hugging him
After a few hours I talked to the doctor
"The doctor said you can go home tomorrow afternoon." I said to Carlos
"Good I hate hospitals." Carlos said
" I know you do." I said running my finger through his hair so it was out of his face
"Hey do you want me to bring Ellie here tomorrow ." I asked I said setting up the couch to sleep on
"Yeah I wanna see her.. what are you doing ." He asked looking at me as I moved aside
"Setting up the couch to sleep on .." I said looking at him
"Tk your not sleeping here tonight." Carlos said
"Technically it's almost morning it's 5 am ." I said looking at him
As he gave me a sarcastic look
"And two you can't force me out because your not allowed to get out of bed ." I said raising my eye brows giving him a smile
"Then sleep here with me ." He said
"No can do you need your rest in a full bed and as you've said before as I recall that I move to much in my sleep ?." I said joking
"Very funny ." He laughed
"Please ?" Carlos asked
"As much as I would like to I can't you need to have a full bed to yourself so your comfortable and I'm only gonna be here for a few hours then go to pick up Ellie and come back here ." I said coming to give him a kiss
"Love you ." I said
" love you to ." Carlos said
I laid down getting a text from Nancy
