Medical attention ch.9

I woke up on the bed coughing and then opening my eyes to see nothing but flames I sprung up heading to the bathroom

I looked around for something to get water in to put the flames out I grabbed a pot and took the plant out of it and filled it up with water

I threw the water on the flames making it clear for me to get down the staircase I got halfway done the staircase I see Carlos lying unconscious

"Carlos !" I yelled getting in front of him checking for a pulse

He had a pulse it was short and week he wasn't getting the correct air flow due to the smoke inhalation

I didn't have my kit and I looked behind myself seeing that the whole first floor was on fire

"Crap..cmon Carlos wake up ." I said shaking his face as his eyes fluttered open

"Hey hey - it's okay Imma put my hoodie over you face that should filter out the ash okay ."

"Your..alive.?"

"Yes baby I'm alive and I'm trying to keep you alive to but I need you to breath and stay awake ."

I put my hoodie of his face seeing that he could take full breaths now but he was about to fall asleep again

"Hey I know you tired but you gotta stay up ."

"I'll try." Carlos said

"Okay Imma go find something to put out the flames I need you to stay awake and if you need to breath breath in my hoodie ."

I maneuvered around the flames to get the hose to put out the flames and finally they went out

"Imma call Tommy she can help with the smoke inhalation until we get to the hospital.."

Carlos reached his hand out touch a burn that was on my side

"I'm fine don't worry ." I said heading upstairs to call Tommy

" hey Tommy can you come to our address there was a fire hand Carlos has rally bad smoke inhalation I'll explain later ."

"Are you okay? "

"Yeah I'm fine I put the fire out with the hose but Carlos us gonna need some medical attention.."
