I was helping Nancy feed buttercup when everyone starts chatting at the front of the station

"What's going on?" I said as Nancy and I headed to see what the commotion was

We walked and saw that everyone was standing around billy

"I wanted everyone here so I could announce something..."

"What?" Paul said looking at billy

"I'm the new captain of the 126." He said

Everyone was in shock at what he had just said as we all looked at one another

Nancy leaned over to me whispering in my ear

"Oh we're so fucked..." she said

"For sure ." I whispered back

"There are going to be a lot of changes made around here ..." he said coming up to as our faces as he spoke

"First things first go wash the rig it looks filthy ."

"We just washed it .." Mateo said

"A second time won't hurt ."

"You two follow me ." He said talking my me and Nancy

As he took us up to what was my dads office

"You two can start unpacking my things .." billy said pointing to the pile of boxes behind us

"With all do respect were paramedics we need the rig to be stacked and ready to go ." Nancy said

"And you can do that later ." Billy said

"We can't do that later what is we have a emergency Huh someone's supposed to die you might not care about that but we do ." I said

"Go overdose ." Billy said making me bite my lip

"Hey! Don't-." Nancy said a I cut her off

"Nance it's fine .." I said getting a box to unpack as billy left the room

"Why do you let him talk to you like that ...?" She asked

"There's nothing I can do about it he's never liked me I'd rather have him say that stuff than fire me .." I said putting his books on the shelf

"Still doesn't make it right .." she said grabbing another stack of books

"I know thank you for trying to defend me but if he's attacking me he doesn't need to attack you as-well ."

We heard billy yelling again downstairs

"Let's go ." She said as we headed downstairs

"Clean it up !!!" Billy yelled making Mateo shake

"Don't yell at him !" Nancy said as I went over to Mateo

"Hey go up to the bunk room I'll clean it up okay ?" I said to Mateo as he went off

I started picking up the shattered pieces of the bowl

"Yeah pick it up fag make yourself useful." Billy said looking at me

"Billy...." Judd said coming close to billy

"Judd it's fine ." I said as he backed up as the rest of the team watched

"Go ahead punch me you'll be fired for good cowboy ." Billy said teasing Judd

"Just as I thought .." billy said

I went up to the bunk room to check on Mateo with marjan

"Hey buddy how you doing ?" I said sitting down on the bed

"Yeah he was pretty rough on you .." Marjan said

"I'm good how are you guys doing ..?" He said looking at us

"What do you mean ?" Marjan said

"I heard the names he was calling you guys he called you "fake hijab" and called Tk a "fag" .." Mateo said

"He really called you fake hijab ?" I said looking at Marjan concerned

"Yeah I've been called worse .."she said

"That's not okay at all tho." I said

"We are so screwed .." Mateo said

"As much as I hate to say it it's true ." Marjan said as we all sighed
