I got up reaching for to he wasn't there so I went ahead and got ready for work
Putting on my uniform felt weird like it was cold as I buttoned up my shirt I saw the scar on my side
I ran my fingers across it remembering how the knife sliced through my skin
I finished buttoning up my shirt proceeding to head downstairs seeing Tk making breakfast
"Morning Papa!" Ellie said as I ruffled her hair
"Morning bug .." I said kissing her forehead
"Morning" Tk said as his lips met mine
"I didn't expect you to be up this early ." I joked
"I woke daddy up ." Ellie said laughing as she shoveled eggs into her mouth
"That she did ." Tk said laughing
Me and Tk went over in the corner
"How are you feeling about going back to work ?"
"Good I guess I'm tired of being cooped up in the house
"That's good ." Tk said
"I gotta get going for work ." I said kissing Tk
"Bye love you ."
" Love you to be safe ..please ." Tk replied
"Bye bug a boo ." I said kissing Ellie
"Bye papa ."
"Hey come by the station after your shift ." Tk said as I opened the door
"K see you later ." I said
