I arrived at the scene as me and my Veronica walked into the house
"Upstairs in clear ." Veronica said yelling down
"So is the main floor.." I said
"The dispatcher said there was a basement but I don't see a door ?" I said.
"Follow me ."
She led me outside to the side of the house
"Back in the 90's when homes were built they didn't have basement doors the had door hatches outside that led to the basement." She said pulling the chain breaking it
"Dang Nancy drew .." I said
"What I watch NCIS what did you expect ?" She said opening them
"Fair ." I said as we walked in
We walked into the basement seeing kids tied up with scarfs in there mouths clearly dehydrated
"We're gonna need medical here stat" I said
"One dead.." Veronica said checking a pulse
A few minutes later 126 medical pulled up Tk and Nancy coming down into the basement
"What happened?" Nancy said
"Looks like some sorta hostage situation.." I said as Tk and Nancy checks pulses
"We got sever dehydration.." Tk said
"There on the verge on anorexia .." Nancy added
"Let's get them into the truck.." Nancy said
We helped them get the kids to the truck
They pulled away as me and v headed back to collect any evidence
"Red sienna , black leather seats ,turtle antenna.." I said taking a picture on my phone
Later that day I picked up Ellie from school
"El can I ask a question?" I said
"Yeah papa ." She said
"Was this the car from the park ?" I said
"Yes papa." She said
