I was walking back to the house with Ellie seeing my ex as he walked over to me
"Carlos hey ." He said
"Caleb.." I said
"Hi Caleb I'm Ellie !." Ellie said hugging his leg
"You have a kid ?" He said
"Uh yeah ." I said chuckling
"I should probably be getting home but it was great running into you ." He said walking away
"Papa? How do you know him ?" She asked
"He's just a old friend bug ." I said as we continued our walk
"Oh okay ." She said
We got home as Tk was making sandwiches
"Daddy we ran into one of papas old friends."
Tk looked in confusion at me as I pointed to upstairs
"Here bug why don't you eat your sandwich." He said giving it to her
"Okay ." She said
He came upstairs with me into our room
"We ran into my ex on the way back.." I said as Tk sat on the bed next to me
"I thought you hated him ?" Tk asked
" he nice yeah he was caring yeah was he less complicated yeah ..but I never really hated him ." I said seeing TK's face expression change
"Sorry I'm to complicated for you Carlos." He said getting up
"T-" I said cut off by the slam of the door
*Later that night*
I came back downstairs later seeing Tk helping Ellie brush her teeth
"Ellie why don't you go say goodnight to papa ." Tk said as Ellie ran to me
"Night papa .." she said kissing my cheek
"Night." Tk said as him and Ellie went upstairs
I came upstairs seeing Tk asleep on Ellie's chair
I wen over and tried to pick him up to take him to bed
He startled when I touched him
"You fell asleep .." I said Quietly
"Oh." He said getting up out of the chair
We left Ellie's room as we got in the hallway
"Where are you going ?" I asked
" to bed ." Tk said heading to the living room
"The bedrooms this way .." I said
"I know I don't want to complicate you sleep ." Tk said
