I can't remove the smile off my face while watching him cook for our dinner. Everything feels like a dream, the flowers, his house, and this date, it feels surreal.

Titig na titig ako sa kaniya habang nakaupo sa countertop sa kitchen. He's cooking roasted beef, sa amoy palang noon ay mukhang masarap na. This is not the first time he cooked for me, kapag kami lang sa bahay ay ipinagluluto niya ako but ofcourse today is very special, it's Valentines.

Nilingon niya ako habang naghihintay sa niluluto. The side of his lips rose to a smile too. Lumapit siya.

"Hungry?"

Umiling ako at nanatiling nakatitig sa kaniya. I can't contain my happiness and I know it shows.

He leaned on the counter, making our face closer to each other. "If you keep on staring at me like that matutunaw ako." He chuckled.

I grinned, "You're Ice, you're supposed to melt."

"Yeah, by you?"

I bit my lower lip to stop smiling evenmore. Bumaba ang mga mata niya sa labi ko pero mabilis lang iyon at ibinalik niya rin agad sa aking mga mata.

He pinched my cheek a bit before standing up straight. He glanced at the flowers I've put beside me, tinignan ko rin iyon.

"Do you like the flowers?"

I smiled and nodded, "Ofcourse, it's from you.."

"Uh huh?"

"How did you know I like baby's breath?"

"Hmm.." he tilted his head, acting like he's thinking. He looks playful, lalo akong napangiti. Mapupunit na yata ang mga labi ko sa kakangiti.

"Let's just say, I figured it out?"

"Huh? How?"

He sighed, "I saw your bookmarks on your books and I noticed they're all withered baby's breath."

Napakurap ako. Now I realized, he often read my books when we're together, kapag gumagawa ng assignments. And that's true, I use baby's breath as bookmarks. He figured it out with that?

Binalikan niya ang niluluto at hindi rin nagtagal ay inayos niya na ang lamesa sa veranda para makakain kami. Nang naayos iyon at nailagay na ang mga pagkain ay masayang-masaya ako. It looks like a candlelit dinner date on a Valentines Day!

And the view in his veranda is so good too, kita ang swimming pool na may mga lights dahil gabi. His house is so big, I still can't believe he owns this.

"Let's eat," he smiled at me when I looked back at him.

Ngumiti ako at tumango. Tinignan ko ang mga pagkain, bukod sa roasted beef ay may caesar salad din siyang ginawa. Mayroon pang wine.

"Eyes on your food baby," he said when he saw me looking at the wine.

I giggled. Kinuha niya naman ang pinggan ko at siya na ang naghiwa ng karne para sa akin. I watched him do that and I just realized that I really like him, hulog na hulog na ako at alam kong hindi na ako makakaahon pa.

Ibinalik niya sa harap ko ang pinggan at hinayaan na akong kumain. I tasted the food and there's no doubt that it tastes so good. Magaling siyang magluto.
