My eyes open and I find myself in a large double bed with soft green covers over me and my head rested on large white cushions. I'm back in the Capitol. I slowly sit up and I see Cinna walking into the room with a smile.

"I told you, you didn't have your last breakfast and that you would do it"Cinna tells me with a smile

"i know, next time I will listen" I tell him with a smile

"Let's get you ready for your interview and then we can go see everybody" Cinna tells me

"sounds good" I answer and I get out of the bed and I see my injures have been healed with no broken bones or scratches

Once I am dressed , I look in the mirror and i definitely don't look as if I've just been in an arena for five days. I walk over to my door where Cinna is and he holds my arm so I don't fall over, we walk out of my room and down the steps into the living room where I see Effie and Haymitch talking with their backs turned. Cinna coughs to get their attention and they turn to us and Effie squeals in delight.

"Victoria you look beautiful" Effie says as I walk down the steps and she pulls me into a bone crashing hug

"Thank you" I tell her as she lets go and I look over at Haymitch

"You clean up well sweetheart" Haymitch tells me

"Your such a weirdo" I tell him with a smile and I walk over to him and throw my arms around his neck and smashed my lips to his. i could tell he was shocked for a moment but he kissed back putting his arms around my waist as Effie squeals in the background and claps her hands together making us smile into the kiss and after a couple of minutes we pull apart and I put my forehead on his. "I love you Haymitch" I mutter to him

"I love you to Sweetheart" he tells me with a smile

"Ladies and Gentlemen this years Victor, Victoria Black" Caesar shouts and I walk onto the stage and the crowd cheers as I take a seat with Caesar" Victoria may I say you look absolutely stunning" he tells me

"thank you" I tell him

"Know tell us how do you feel, winning?" Caesar asks me

"I feel amazing" I lie because in reality I'm not I don't think I will ever be okay after that experience "But being in that arena made me realise something" I tell him

"and what was that" he asks me

"That life is to short. We only get one life and we have to make that one life count. We can't afford to let great things fly past us. We have to make the most of everything we have and we have to make the most of everything we get. We have to tell the ones we love that we love them when we have the chance before we loose that chance. We have to tell those we care about just how much we care for them because in that arena you could loose that chance forever" I say

"One last time give it up for Victoria Black this years Victor" Caesar shouts as he raises my hand in the air and the audience go wild.

A the train ride to District 12 was fairly quiet, I changed into a jumper and jeans with a pair of heels as it was more comfortable, me and Haymitch made our relationship official and Effie was letting me know about my victory tour which will be in a couple of weeks. The train comes to a stop so I walk over to the doors and as they open, I walk out and all of District 12 is there smiling at me. I search through the crowd and I see Gale, Prim, Katniss and Mrs Everdeen all smiling and waving at me and I'm so glad that they are alright as I missed them so much.
