We are making our way through the jungle and to the tree. i hope this plan will work although if it does, then we are the only ones left and i don't want to be the one to shoot first. As we walk to the tree, the Panem theme starts playing and i look up and it shows all of those that died today and i see Mags and Wiress up there and i cant help but let a tear roll down my cheek. As the music ends, the continue to make or way to the tree and Beetee looks at it

"Minimal charring, it's an impressive conductor. Lets get started." Beetee says and we start to wrap the wire around the tree "Typically a lightning strike contains five billion joules of energy. We don't want to be anywhere in the vicinity when this hits. You two girls go together now, take this. Unspool it carefully make sure the entire coil is in the water . Understand" Beetee asks me and Johanna as he hands me the wire

"I'm gonna go with her as a guard" Peeta says as he stands beside me

"No, you're staying here to protect me, and the tree" Beetee tells him

"No, i need to go with her" Peeta says, why is he so desperate to protect me ?

"There are two careers out there. I need two guards" Beetee says to him

"Finnick can protect you fine on his own" Peeta says

"You all agreed to keep me alive till midnight, correct?" Beetee says

"It's his plan, we all agreed" Johanna says

"Your right, lets go. I'll see you at midnight" I say to Peeta and pull him into a hug before letting go and me and Johanna leave them and head to the beach. Johanna walks slightly in front so i can trail the wire behind me, me climb over the rocks and i pass the wire to her so i can climb over and she passes it back ad we continue to climb over them.

"Come on. I want to put as much distance between me and this beach as possible. Frying is not how i want to go" Johanna says as the wire gets stuck and we look at it i pull it towards me and it snaps . I grab my arrow and load my bow but i get wacked around the head by something hard and i fall down next to the rock and Johanna comes over and gets out her dagger and puts it into my right risk and i scream out in pain only to have Johanna cover my mouth.

"Stay down" Johanna whispers before running away and the Careers chase her. I get up slowly feeling dizzy and my head pounding from where Johanna wacked me with the wire

"Johanna, Where are you" I hear Finnick yell so i duck behind the rock until he leaves and i get up to go to the tree to look for Peeta. I get to the tree and i cant see Peeta and i see someone get a shock from the wire and i run over to see Beetee laying there barley conscious and i hear a canon go of.

"Peeta" i yell as i stand up and look around, i see Finnick coming towards me so i crouch down and load my bow and aim it at him

"Victoria ! Where are you" He yells as i attach some wire to the arrow and aim it back at him and he notices me

"Victoria. Remember who the real enemy is " Finnick says to me and i lower the bow as i hear the thunder crackling which means its almost midnight "Victoria get away from that tree" Finnick yells at me but instead i stand up and i aim the arrow with the wire attached up at the arena roof" Get away from there Victoria" Finnick shouts as he comes over to me as the lightning strikes the tree and i let go of the arrow and i scream as the electric gets me and everything turns black.
