My eyelids slowly open, the light blinding me. The only sound I can hear is the the beeping of the machine that my arm is attached too and my slow breathing. The curtains are suddenly pulled back, making me jump and I see Johanna standing there

"well there she is, the Mockingjay. Oh man that speech you gave I mean I still have goose bumps. You don't mind do you" She asks as she sits on my bed and hooks her arm up to the machine instead of mine. " What about you mockingjay? Feeling safe?" Johanna asks me

"till I got shot" I say

"oh please, the bullet didn't even touch you. Cinna saw to that your costume would be bulletproof. So what are your injuries" she asks

"bruised ribs, bruised lung" I tell her

" I'm surprised they haven't found you a new lung, I mean I've got two do you want one of mine? I mean it's everyone's job to keep you alive" she says

"Do you now hate me" I ask her

"I don't hate you Vic, your the only person that actually cares what I do " she says

"that's probably true" I say with a smile

"I saw your daughter earlier, she looks a lot like you" Johanna says with a smile

"Can you do me a favour please " I ask her

"Sure what is it" she asks

"Can you go get Haymitch , please" i ask her and she nods detaching the wire and before walking out . Moments later, I hear the door close and Haymitch appears next to the curtain

"how you feeling sweetheart" he asks as he sits on my bed

"stomach hurts but apart from that I'm fine" I say with a smile

"Elizabeth misses you " he tells me

"I miss her too " I tell him as a couple of nurses walk in

"we need to change you bandage" one of them say and they roll up my tshirt and take the bandage of before putting another on

"Peeta, how is he" i ask

"We shew him the footage of you in 2 and he had real memories of you" Haymitch explains

"that still doesn't mean I'm going in there" I say

"he's strapped down, he can't and won't hurt you" Haymitch says

"No this is different. Mitch I really don't want to" I say

"it doesn't matter what you want it's for Peeta . Katniss has been in. What's the harm in trying" Haymitch says and I nod. The nurses finish up so me and Haymitch walk over to where Peeta is and I walk into the room. He lays there just staring st me from head too toe not moving or saying anything

"I watched you die" he says " you look terrible"he tells me

"You've looked better" I say to him

"You're not even remotely nice to say that to me now" he says

"you've always been nicer then I have" I tell him

"When I saw you die, I remembered something. About after my games, I remember you supporting me , telling me what I should do" he says

"your one of my best mates, of course I would help you" I say to him " which is one of the reasons why snow tortured you, to hurt me" I explain

"Snow says everything that comes out of your mouth and Katniss's mouth is a lie" Peeta says and I can't cope with seeing him like this so I walk out of the room
