Chapter 8 - A Shopping Day

"Morning Y/N" Nat greeted you as you made your way to one of the soft sofas in the living room. "Good morning Nat"

"We're finally going shopping today! Tony gave you a credit card right?"

"Yeah he did. It's in my room. Pepper is coming along right?" You called back, settling yourself in the cushions.

"Of course. If anything she's the goddess of fashion!" Nat laughed sitting down with you as well.

"She really is, she can fit anything with a pair of heels!"

Thor exited the elevator, "Lady Y/N! Good morning!"

"Hey Thor! What's for breakfast?" You asked starvingly

"Well I shall have my poptarts. Tony will make pancakes when he arrives."

Ah yes, pancakes. You made the best fluffiest pancakes. "I can make them! I'm great at cooking and baking."

You lift yourself off the warmed couch. You got over to the kitchen and found the ingredients. You didn't like using ready made pancake batter. You had your own way of making them, which made them even poofier and tastier than normal.

Tony and Pepper arrived and started making everybody's coffee. In walked Bucky, his long brown hair was messy from sleeping. Geez. Literally everybody here was hot.

Your hands seemed to know what to do, adding flour, milk then eggs and a few other things. Everybody else gathered while you cooked. Flipping over the pancakes was the best part, you liked doing tricks with the pancakes and hadn't failed yet. You turned your body swiftly toward the team. Loki was already there as well, reading. "Hey, watch this!" You gained their attention, spatula in hand, fat pancake on top. You threw it in the air, everybody gasped as you caught it effortlessly again with your spatula. Everyone was amazed, you did it a few more times, even catching one with a plate. Loki had watched but only for the first one. You had to use two plates for the stacks of breakfast. You set everything on the table, one large pancake stack on each side. Plates laid in front of each team members chair. Butter and syrup was added to the table as well as chocolate syrup.

"Breakfast is ready!"

The team stopped their conversations and made their way to the table, mouths watering, eyeing your dishes.

"This is great kid!" Tony complimented as he stuffed his face with fluffy pancake.

"How'd you get this so puffy?" Bruce asked curiously.

"It's a secret recipe!" A large smirk was plastered on your face. The Avengers like your pancakes. Good. You were trying to appease them as much as possible, in case there was ever an argument; which there inevitably would be at some point.

Loki seemed to be enjoying your breakfast the most though, he ate quickly. He wasn't going to say anything but he liked them, you could tell. A smile crept upon your face, you finished your food as everyone else did.

"Ready to go Y/N?" Pep called

Credit card in hand you followed Nat and Pepper out to the garage. "Yep!"

Your mothers ring swung on its chain around your neck as you entered one of many supercars lined up. The whole wall opened to the Manhattan streets. Nat and Pep sat in the front, you sat in the back comfortably. Before you knew it you were at the mall. It'd been so long since you went to the mall, you never had time. You jumped out of the car and followed the girls inside. The marble floor shimmered brightly as you stepped through the door. Crowds bustled about, kids walked with their mothers, people strolled into shops that lined the mall. Pepper took the lead, while you and Nat followed her direction. She led you into a designer fashion store. "Oh Pepper, everything is way too expensive here-" Nat cut you off, "Everything in here is within our budget, it's okay." You nodded, not wanting to fight them on the prices.
