You couldn't help but chuckle, grabbing his hands.
"And you look even more handsome, Lohk." You smirked, turning around to face him.
Fandral cleared his throat.
You spun back around, forgetting for a moment he was there.
"I suppose I'll let the two of you talk." He bowed, taking your hand and kissing it.
Giving him a kind smile, he returned it and walked off.
Turning back to Loki he stood there with his jaw clenched.
"Loki, there's no need to be upset."
"I'm not upset. That fool Fandral needs to learn his place though." He rolled his hand into fists at his side.
Taking his hand, you unfurled his tense fist and put your hand in his, linking together.
"It's alright." You nodded.
Loki grinned and suddenly the music turned up.
A classical ball room sound, the kind you were to hear in an English film about Queen Victoria came on.
Loki lightened up almost instantly. "Will you have this dance?" He smirked.
"I don't know how to dance.." You sighed.
"That's alright Darling. Just step on my feet and I'll lead you along."
"Hmm.. okay." You nodded, and linked his arm with yours.
A few other couples in brilliant dresses and suits also approached the floor as guests cleared out in the center.
Eyes were attached to you and all of the attention seemed to be on you as you approached with Loki.
Some ladies were chattering and whispering amongst themselves while gentlemen were drinking Ale watching, amused.
"Don't think about them." Loki whispered into your ear. You nodded slightly.
"It's hard." You approached the floor and got into position. You at least knew the ballroom stance.
"They're just jealous." He smirked wildly. You gave a silent giggle.
"Step on my shoes." He looked down. You put your feet on his so that you weren't actually on the floor.
"I'll show you how to do the routine then the next steps you can attempt it."
You nodded, paying attention to the music ques.
Suddenly, everyone started waltzing at once.
The music felt enchanting. It was dark and magical, yet so alluring. Loki held onto your waist as you held onto his. Your right hand twisted together tightly.
Some viewers started pointing and muttering to themselves. Anxiety started to fill you again. What if the people didn't accept you?
"Are you alright darling?" Loki whispered into your ear.
"Mhm." You hummed. Loki squinted at you in a "I-know- you're-lying-what's-really-wrong?" Sort of manner.
"All of these people.." You began to say, but trailed off. Usual Loki, he rolled his eyes.
"Nothing to worry about. They must be talking about your dress." He smirked.
You chuckled shyly. "You look brilliant darling.." Loki peered down at you with adorning eyes.
"Really?" You cocked an eyebrow.
"Really. You're the most fascinating girl I've ever met."
That same familiar electric feeling washed over you.
