A/n: In memory of Natasha Romanoff <3 I love you 3000
Sighing, you looked around the room. Loki kept his gaze on the floor.
"I do." Nodding, you peered out of the window. "Don't even think about jumping out that window kid." Tony scolded.
"I wasn't going to." You rolled your eyes.
"Enough stalling. We want an explanation." Steve spoke.
"I'm thinking of my response so it's not confusing." Furrowing your eyebrows you looked back at the team.
A minute went by in complete silence as you created a small script in your head of your explanation to them.
"Well. You already heard my story when I was talking to Thor, so I needn't go over that again."
Everybody nodded. "So, the next thing I would say is that I lied." You blurted out. A few faces twisted into confused expressions.
"Continue." Tony motioned, and you did.
"I denied knowing of my powers, as you should know. From the time I escaped I pledged to myself I would live a normal life and forget everything happened. Or, try to. The same year of my escape, when I was 9, my mother died of cancer."
"That must've been hard for you Y/N." Bruce commented. "It was. I miss her smile everyday."
"Can we hurry this along please?" Tony rushed. Pepper gave him a little slap and you continued.
"I never used my powers again. Because, my powers remind me of my brother. And, I think that's another reason I'm so scared to use them. Every time, I do I think of how I could've prevented my brother's slaughter." Tears gathered in your eyes again. Pushing them back, you were done crying. Done being vulnerable.
"That's very traumatic." Bucky said blatantly. A snicker came from somewhere, and you couldn't help but let out a nervous laugh with all the tension in the air.
"Would you still be willing to let Loki train you after this? If using your powers affects you this much, maybe it's not the best plan at the moment." Natasha suggested. You could see Loki roll his eyes as he looked up.
"My brother would want me to get better using my powers. I was being trained and used as a weapon. Maybe, it would benefit if I was taught properly how to fight." You shrugged, turning your gaze from Loki, to Nat, to Steve.
"If you would let me." Giving Steve a persuasive smile you shrugged again, this time putting your hands up.
"Can we really trust her though? She's run away 2 different times in the last week." Clint spoke up from his spot on a couch. "Yea. Who's to say she won't try to run again?" A worried Bruce chimed in.
"Guys, I understand you can't trust me. But I'm being serious right now. I want to be a better person."
"We should give her a test run, if she or Loki screws it up then the plan will be abolished." Bucky suggested, stretching his non-metal arm. Nat nodded his way, agreeing.
"A crash course?" Tony said sarcastically. "That actually could be a good idea. Besides, somebody could supervise them as well." Clint said. Tony and Steve looked at each other conflicted.
Loki was eyeing you again, but you paid no mind to him. Settling this crash course idea was a big deal. Training with Loki was the first step in regaining stable trust in the Avengers, the world and in yourself.
"We need a minute, excuse us." Steve finally said, getting up as Tony followed suit. They exited into a hallway on the other side of the floor.
Awkward silence filled the air. Loki's gaze stayed glued to you. A weird feeling started in your stomach. You connected your stare with his. His sharp green eyes seemed to be staring at your soul.
"Are they having a staring contest?" Bruce asked, turning from Loki to you and back to Loki. "Maybe." Clint shrugged. Your cheeks started to heat up, hoping your skin wasn't as red as it felt.

After a couple more minutes and hushed whispers, Tony and Steve returned. Loki broke your connection, which had lasted the entire time, surprisingly.
"Capsicle and I have reached a conclusion." Tony announced to the group, walking out from behind a wall.
"Which is?" Nat said.
"We will allow Y/N to train with Loki under the supervision of Thor." Steve declared.
Loki rolled his eyes about to protest but Thor cut him off before he did so. "Well brother, Lady Y/N! I am excited to be your supervisor."
"Why must this oaf supervise us?" Loki argued.
"Thor will make sure you and Ms. Runaway over here don't plan for a great escape." Steve countered.
"Essentially he's your babysitter." Tony noted.
"I do not need a-" Loki started arguing again. "Sounds like a good plan to me. When shall we start?" You cut him off suddenly.
"Tomorrow. We need to start as soon as possible. Since you already have a good sense of your abilities it'll be a bit easier figuring things out." Natasha answered dryly.
"You lied so perfectly." Bruce said gleefully. "Brucey- that's not a good thing." Tony gave him a face and looked back at you.
"No more lies." He said firmly. "You still owe me an apology." Shrugging, you stretched out your newly bandaged legs.
"Lady Y/N, on behalf of Loki, I am truly sorry for tricking you into providing us with valuable information." Thor grinned. "Gee, thanks Thor. It'd be nicer to hear it from Loki himself though." You muttered.
Loki didn't answer. Instead, he just looked at the ground again, tightening his jaw.
"Well then... what do you all want for dinner?" Pepper smiled.
Tons of suggestions were gathered within the span of a minute. Pepper got up to go fix pasta in the kitchen.
You didn't know how to feel about tomorrow. Not only did you have to use your powers but you had to use your powers with Loki WHILE being supervised by Thor. On the bright side however, you would be able to become more powerful and overcome the fear of yourself.
You could only hope for a smooth trial.
