You tapped the counter, with your fingernails, closely watching the door for customers.
You were bored. Bored out of your mind. Laufey, (which you decided was the cat's unoffical name) hadn't returned to the window the next day. You were worried. "For what..?" You sighed muttering to yourself.
"It's just a cat, nothing to fret and worry over Y/N." Called your dad from the back. "I know father! But Laufey has been and sat there all week, and he's not here." You said, slumping over in your stool. "Perhaps he's on a mission." Your father chuckled. Rolling your eyes you got up went to the back to accompany him. "He'll be back soon enough, princess." Father reassured you, patting you on the back once you'd reach him.
You gave him a small smile acknowledging him. You spent the rest of the hour picking out and putting away newly delivered ingredients into fridges and pantries. Father had gone back to serving hungry customers. After you were finished with your job, you reached your hand out to a small bookshelf: grabbed the book you had been reading. Now sitting yourself in a cafe chair, apron in lap you read. Read and read until you looked up and it was already late at night. You put away your book back on the shelf and found your father closing up Esta. Father yawned then you did, "I guess yawning is contagious!" He teased and ushered you out the back door.
You exited the alley to which the door led to and got settled into your car. Father jumped in, turned on the car and drove home.
Many different lights passed you by, they flickered as your eyelids kept trying to close. You were exhausted as usual though you didn't mind. The car stopped and you climbed out. Your feet atomatically took you up flights of stairs to get to the apartment father and you were renting. Father unlocked the door. Your feet trudged through the hallways, finding your bedroom door. Finally in the comfort of your own room, you tugged off your shoes and changed quickly into a black and green pajama set. Green was your favourite colour by far.
Forcing yourself to the bathroom, you sleepily brushed your teeth.
And now. You were in bed. Yes.Father bid you goodnight as you climbed into bed, remembering everything you had read in the cafe. You remembered the black cat staring at you through the window. And then, peacefully you slept.

"RISE AND SHINE PRINCESS, TODAY IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY!" Your father yelled happily at the foot of your bed. "Go away dad- It's Saturday let me sleep" You groaned, pulling up your blankets to your face. "So you don't want to watch 'EVE' today?" Father reminded you. 'EVE' was a new movie coming out in theatres today, you had waited months and months to get tickets. Your eyes widened immediantly at the reminder. Jumping out of bed now, "Give me 30 minutes!" Father flashed you a wide grin and exited your bed room. You ran to your small bathroom, showered, brushed your teeth and changed into a pale green shirt and light denim overalls.
You hadn't worried about breakfast as you and your father would pick up some bagels from a small shop on the way there. You dashed out to livingroom where father was waiting with his shoes already on. You found your new white sneakers and put them on. Before you left you grabbed a peice of gum like you did every morning and started chewing on it. "Ready!" You exclaimed. Father and you made your way down to the lobby of your building. Found your car and got in. You wanted to drive this time but father insisted he do it and that you could drive back. You agreed to this, and off you went to the theatre.
Finally you had arrived. You parked and got out. There was a decently long line as 'EVE' was always going to be a very popular movie since it was a world wide famous novel. You loved reading the book so you were even more excited when you heard they were going to be making EVE into a production. You had watched every single trailer and sneak peek you could find. You had stalked every cast members profile and learned so much about them you could answer almost any question about the person. Your memory was fantastic, you could remember anything and everything that you wanted to, not just about movies and books. Because of this skill you had graduated from highschool 3 years ago. You were always the smartest in fact most students and teachers thought you had superpowers. You always shrugged it off. You weren't super at all. Not by the slighest.
At last, you made your way to the ticket booth. Legs sore from standing, you handed you and your father's tickets over to the worker. They nodded towards the door, allowing you to enter the theatre. You held in an excited squel as you strut into the large cinema. The crisp and buttery smell of popcorn, drinks, candy and fast food filled the building. Kids, teenagers and adults alike stood about in line waiting to get their snacks. Making your way to the counter after about another 10 minutes, your father ordered two large popcorn and two sodas. The items were handed to you each. Following the small arrows to the cinema, you entered the dimly lit room. Crowds of people filled the seats. Finally finding father and yours seats, you two got comfortable and settled in. The previews were extra long this time since more people were coming to this event. You didn't mind however and watched the previews patiently.
Eventually the film started.

"That was fantastic!" You smiled, clapping with everybody else when the movie was over. "I loved the part when Eve got caught eavesdropping, I think I got second-hand embarrassment from that." Laughed your dad, clapping along. You and him went back and forth on parts you loved. You enjoyed yourself.
You threw away your leftover snacks into the garabge can outside. You made your way back up to the car. "Here's the keys." Father said dryly handing them out to you. You took them with a smirk and started up the vehicle. As soon as you got in you blasted the AC to cool down.
