Frigga bid you goodnight as the pair of you walked out of the ballroom.
Guards bowed to you, each one faintly mumbling a "Good Night your royalties."
Loki didn't stop though and kept wondering down corridors, you by his side.
His warmth was surrounding you, creating a cozy atmosphere.
His scent: Sweet, tangy and almost musty, like old books swarmed your nostrils.
You didn't mind though. With him you felt safe and comforted.
"Where are we going." You spoke up from the quietness.
"Somewhere you'll love." Loki grinned sleepily. His grin always made you smile.
Everything about Loki made your heart explode. Everytime you looked at him you felt like he was the one. As if you were soulmates, like Thor had said long before.
"Being soulmates really doesn't seem like a bad idea now." You muttered, trying not to giggle.
"I should've realized it earlier. You truly are the one for me." Loki admitted, clasping his large hand with your small one.
All you could do was smile. You didn't have anymore words for this fantastical moment.
Everything about today had seemed so magical. Enchanting even.
Being treated like royalty was grand and luxurious. It was quite nice really.
Becoming friends with the maids, servants and Emilie had been a pleasant experience as well. You were thankful for the experience honestly.
A thought popped up in your mind for a moment then. You decided whether or not to bring it up. Loki may not want to speak about it, you thought.
Hesitating, you began, "I've been meaning to speak with you on a matter."
"Well speak away love. I'm all ears for you darling." Said Loki.
"Okay.." You twisted your hair with your fingers, which had fallen out of it's styled place.
"No need to be dragging. You know I won't be mad about anything."
"Oh I know." You nodded, "You see, I just don't know how to say it."
"It doesn't matter how you say it. If it comes out in a jumble we'll figure it out eventually." Loki chuckled, reassuring you.
Your brain was mush and you could hardly think on the subject. The issue was, for some reason, so hard to wrap your head around.
"Am I Asgardian?" It all tumbled out of your mouth. Not in the way you wanted to state it, that was for sure.
Loki paused for a brief moment, possibly thinking over all of the things he could respond with. Or trying to take in what you just asked.
"I should've worded that differently.." You groaned then yawned, covering your mouth as you did so.
Loki hadn't answered and stayed in silence as he walked you down the hallway.
Your footsteps cracked and echoed in the long corridors. The ceilings were high and grand.
The amount of fine detailing on every panel and tile of the wall and floor was immaculate. It was extraordinary. You were awed by it.
Loki halted in front of a large dark oak door. "You'll love it." He winked.
You gave him a chuckle as he forcefully pushed it open.
