CERENE POV
Nakapamewang akong nakatayo sa harap ng pinsan ko while dialing my sister's number.
"Why ain't she picking up!" stress kong sabi kay Aihama na naglalaptop.
"She must be busy couzy. You know she didn't go back for fun. Namatay ang dad niyo" walang mudo niyang sabi.
I scoffed at her "Correction couz, HER DAD, NOT MINE"
Tumawa lang ito. I throw my phone beside the couch at sumalapak sa tabi ni Aihama.
"What the hell! Wala tayong matatapos kung puro ka na lang scroll ng mga yan!" nakataas na kilay kong baling sa kanya.
"I'm doing my best couzy, bawal ng mag shopping ngayon. Hindi na tayo nakakapag shopping this past few days" reklamo niya pa habang nagpapatuloy sa pag pili ng mga damit sa screen nito.
Humalukipkip ako.
"And it will never happen. Not unless we found the culprit behind our surname mystery"
Aihama snorted.
She was about to close the site when I stopped her.
"Wait! Maganda yang isa. Ikuha mo rin ako"
She laughed. "I know right! I like this one too" pag turo pa niya sa ibang damit. I nodded in agreement.
So in the end, we ended up shopping and completely forgotten our mission.
The next day I tried calling celene but she isn't picking up again. I then tried the next and the next and the next until one week passed without hearing any news from her.
Mom always ending up crying whenever we tried calling her and she wouldn't picked up.
It's ringing but she keeps on ignoring it.
She only got a chance once. It was two weeks nang nasa Philippines ito at nagawa niyang mag text kay mom telling her she's ok and that it will take time for her to come back here in France.
I miss her already but hindi ko namang pwedeng ipauwi ito considering the fact na namatayan ito ng father.
Mom is never ok when Celene is away. Palagi na lang itong tulala at palaging hawak ang cellphone.
Three more days passed at wala paring progress ang ginagawa namin ni Aihama. Gosh, who ever did this mess, I will make sure that person suffer. This person is stressing me out and I just want to struggle someone out of frustration.
"Couz, where are you? Palagi ka na lang wala!" nakataas na kilay kong sabi sa phone when Aihama answer the call.
"Sorry, may pinuntahan ako ngayon. Baka sa susunod na araw pa ako makakabalik. Mom ask me to do errand eh" walang ganang sabi niya sa kabilang linya.
"Ohh Ok. Ikumusta mo na lang ako kay tita helen"
I heard her hum at biglang namatay ang tawag. Ibinaba ko ang tawag sabay bangon.
I have no schedule today as my manager and the company is busy with some project kaya free akong gawin ang gusto kong gawin.
I smile when I think of a plan. I dialed Vince number.
"Hi babe" bati ko sa kanya pagkasagot niya ng tawag.
Vince laughed. "Hmm babe, I missed you"
I giggled silently. "Where are you? Let's have a date today!"
"Of course babe, when I arrive there"
