CERENE POV
The day Celene says that indeed she knows about the rivalry of Zanturi and Zacirada clan but chose to stay made my hope crushed into pieces.
I don't want to tell it to Aihama, but I have no choice. I'm afraid… Gosh, I'm afraid na sa kabila ng nalalaman niya ay gusto niya paring manatili. Na gusto niya paring kampihan ang Don kaysa makamit ang hustisya.
That night, I'm about to escape the mansion to go to the Zanturi manor but I stopped when I saw her walking inside.
If I'm going to escape, I'll bring her with me but it didn't happen. Hindi siya sumama sa akin.
Nag alinlangan akong umalis sa oras na iyon pero hinihintay na ako ni Aihama kaya wala akong nagawa.
It's so sad leaving my twin inside that mansion. I almost teared up when I saw her face, she looked so devastated. I don't know what's happening in her life since hindi na namin siya nakakasama. We keep our distance and she keeps her too.
We're pushing each other away. How crazy when we should be teaming up but ended up pushing each other.
Nasaktan din ako nong sigawan niya ako. Na ako ang problema niya, na kung sana hindi ako pumunta dito sa Pilipinas para sundan siya.
Gosh, her words stung!
What's bad was she never made an apology even though she knew she did wrong. I've waited for that but it never came.
"Couzy, are you OK? Kanina ka pa tulala!" Aihama asked while tapping something on her phone.
I sighed deeply. "It's nothing, I'm just tired!"
Now the meeting is about to start. The day when Aihama ask me about Celene at bakit hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko parin siya nakukumbinse, nasabi ko sa kanya ang tungkol sa confrontation namin. I told her that Celene knew about the rivalry but chose to stay. Pero hindi ko naman inaasahan na sasabihin niya ito sa mga Zanturi. Now all of them think na kinakampihan ni Celene ang Don.
I grabbed the pillow and put it in my lap as I felt the cold coming from the air conditioner. We're currently in the basement of Zanturi mansion waiting for others. Nakaupo ako sa malaking couch while Aihama is two meters away from me. Nakaupo siya sa may table na pinalibutan ng maraming upuan intended for the meeting.
Hindi rin nagtagal ay napabaling kaming dalawa ni Aihama nang bumukas ang pintuan at sabay sabay pumasok sina Tito Archie, tito Lucas, at tito Damon. Nasa likod lang nila sina sina Vince, Hunter at Asher.
"Babe, you shouldn't be here!" seryosong sabi ni Vince pagkakita sa akin.
I just rolled my eyes. Siya naman ang nagpa punta sa akin dito dahil mag da-date daw kami!
He immediately walked toward my direction and swiftly kissed my lips.
Agad akong napaiwas ng tingin. Kumalat ang hiya sa sistema ko ng makitang nakangisi ang ibang lalaki sa room. Lalo na si Tito Archie. Umiling iling lang si tito Lucas habang nanunukso ang mata ni Hunter.
Damn you Vincente Kairo Zanturi!
I heard him chuckle before he settled down beside me. Ipinatong niya ang braso niya sa balikat ko.
The others occupied the seat beside Aihama on the table.
"Tito, where's Knight?" tanong ni Asher kay tito Lucas with his usual suplado tone.
If I didn't know this guy, I would think he's always in a bad mood.
Tito Lucas sighed. "He's coming. May pinag uusapan lang sila ni Estelle"
