Celene POV
The first thing I remember the moment I wake up is my phone. I grab it and excitedly examined if Ace responded to my text.
Para akong pinagsakluban ng langit at lupa ng makitang walang text ito kahit isa. Biglang bumigat ang pakiramdam ko. I tried dialing his number. Pero kung kagabi nagri-ring pa, ngayon out of coverage na!
God, what is happening?
Malungkot at nanghihina akong maligo at nagbihis. Bumaba ako pagkatapos dala-dala ang cellphone. I'm still hoping he will contact me soon.
I saw Cerene in living room watching TV while texting someone. I bitterly smile at dumeritso sa kitchen at doon nagmukmuk.
I'm in the middle of my meal ng may kumatok sa labas. I heard footsteps so maybe pinuntahan ito ni Cerene.
After a few minutes ay narinig ko ring nagmamadali siyang pumunta sa kitchen "Sis, may package ka sa labas. The delivery boy insisted na ikaw daw ang kumuha" nakataas na kilay at nakapamewang niyang sabi.
"Ako? Saan daw ba galing?" tanong ko habang tumatayo.
She shrugged. She then answer her phone. Someone call her habang nasa kitchen pa ito. I walked pass her at pumunta sa pintuan.
"Good morning. Delivery for Ms. Celene Cruz" masiglang sabi ng lalaki.
"That's me" I said eyeing the package.
He gave me a paper para perhaman. He then gave me the package and storm out immediately.
I wanted to ask where's this package came from but the man seemed to be in a hurry and he seemed a bit nervous too.
I shrugged my shoulder as I realized I should not concern myself with that.
Papasok pa lang ako sa loob ng makita kong balisa si Cerene. She's walking downstairs with haste.
"Are you OK?" tanong ko dito ng may pagtataka sa mukha.
She grab my shoulder and shook it "Gosh, my manager called. She's in the embassy to work for my passport. Someone is really messing with us" she said hysterical.
"To change your name?" tanong ko but more like a statement.
"Yes, Gosh" pinapaypayan na niya ang mukha niya gamit ang kamay. "Tell mom I had emergency schedule. Hindi pa siya gising kaya ikaw na magpaalam sa akin" Problemado niyang sabi while flipping her hair.
Agad niyang kinuha ang susi nito. I heard her mumbling something.
Tinapos ko muna ang kinakain ko bago ako pumunta sa kwarto. I'm so eager to open the package. Part of me is hoping na this one is from Ace. I momentarily forget the problem I had.
Dali-dali ko itong binuksan at laking gulat ko sa nakita sa loob. Shocked at the same time dismay.
Dammit!
It’s my newly passport with a surname Zacirada. My birth certificate and other essential documents. I looked for an address but walang nakalagay. Even name ay wala.
Someone is really messing with us!
This all confused me.
I grabbed my phone and immediately called my sister.
"Sis, the package" agad kong sabi ng sagutin ako nito.
[What about it?] halata sa boses nito ang pagkabalisa. I also heard people over the phone talking or more like shouting.
