Chapter 46

CERENE POV

I live up to my promise. And Vince did his too. During the five months duration, I tried fixing myself. 

Allyana and Hannah help me find my old self. They're always taking a leave just to be with me during my downfall. And I'm so grateful for them. 

Allyana is an HR manager. Hannah is a nurse. Sa dalawa palagi akong nasasamahan ni Allyana dahil nakakapuslit siya sa office. But I wouldn't believe it. Since sa company ng mga Zanturi siya nagtatrabaho, posibleng may kinalaman dito si Vince. 

My understanding, Vince. 

My handsome Vince. 

The man that would give up arguing even though he's right just so he can't make me sad. 

If I lose him, it's not his loss, it's mine! 

I was grinning at Allyana as she walked toward me, laughing. 

"What's so funny? You look like an idiot!" agad kong pambara pagkalapit niya. 

But instead of responding, she laughed at me. "Goodness! I'm so thankful you called me. Your call was perfect timing!" She said, beaming. 

Napairap na lang ako. Why can't she just tell me and leave the laugh later. 

I arched a brow. "So, You have a plan to tell me or I'll just leave so that you can go back to work?" 

Her laugh died instantly. Sinapak pa ako ng loko. "Hell!.... You're so bitter. Can't you just wait for my laugh to subdued?" nakangoso nitong sabi. 

I invite her para samahan akong mag lunch. Mom went out of country again and it's so lonely at home. Wala akong makausap. 

I invited Hannah too pero marami daw silang pasyente sa hospital. Kaya si Allyana lang ang dumating. 

"So, here is it. I was supposed to be doing work, a very stressful one but the moment you called, it all vanished and I was informed to leave" tatawatawa niyang kwento. 

Sabi na nga ba eh. May kinalaman dito si Vince. I thought he's in Philippines? 

"Wait! Vince is here?" gulat kong tanong. 

Allyana shook her head. She spoons a handful of pasta kaya hindi pa makapagsalita. "No! He's not!" she said after swallowing. I saw her forehead creased as if she's debating to tell me something but then she decided not to. 

"What's your plan? You will go back to your old career?" she asked, trying to read my mind. "Your former director was asking if you'll be back in the industry!" 

I sighed deeply. "I am not into that. It's time I work seriously!" 

Apparently, Don Craig left a responsibility to me. His company is in chaos from his sudden death and the employees were demanding someone to continue running the business or else they will dismiss me. Supposedly, it would be Celene who should be shouldering the responsibility as most of the share was hers pero lahat nailipat sa akin ng nabalitaan nilang wala na siya.   

It sucks! But I have to live responsibly now. Right now, Aihama was there running it for me but they're questioning her. They thought I had no knowledge of running an organization kaya they're doing their best to dismiss Aihama para ako ang mag manage non. 

The suckers! They just wait at makikita nilang mas mabuting si Aihama na lang ang nag ma-manage non. They want me? I'll give them what they're looking for! A taste of regrets. 

Pagkatapos naming kumain ni Allyana ay pinilit niya akong mag mall. I was not in the mood to do that pero she insisted. As long as she's with me daw, pwedeng hindi na siya bumalik.
