I was in the middle of studying when Vincent gently tapped my shoulder.
I lazily looked at him, irritated.
"Tito Damon called!" seryosong balita niya.
"And?" Agad kong ibinalik ang mata sa libro. I don't want to be tangled by our family business but I have a feeling I might force to.
"They're giving you a task!" I clicked my tongue. "One of the Craig's daughters will be attending your school. Same course. They want you to look after her."
"Can't you just do it? I don't have a fvking time to waste!"
Vince shook his head. "I already have her twin to look after." There's a little hint of annoyance in his tone. I hate our family scheme but I couldn't do anything about it. We lost a family member and the elders couldn't just forgive that.
I nodded to dismiss him. But I know I don't have plans tailing a girl just because they want me.
Dumating ang unang araw ko sa medicine and so I got myself busy.
"Fuck Ashton! What's your problem?" I snapped as he kept on shifting. His face creased.
Ngumuso siya sa unahan kung saang may babaeng nakaupo. I looked at where he pointed and saw a girl wearing an eyeglasses. And she has a disaster sense of fashion.
"I've been trying to catch her attention! And it's been four months," naiinis nitong reklamo. He's rubbing his lips with his index finger -- a sign that he's thinking deeply.
Months passed and Ashton is getting more and more irritated at the girl. I always grinned at him whenever he's pissed.
"Help me!" Biglang isang araw nagpatulong siya. We laughed at him. He's really into that nerd huh!
Miko and Mike scheme a plan. Kunwaring haharangan daw namin ang corridor para mapansin ang gago.
Ashton cleared his throat as he saw the girl exit the room. Hindi ko alam anong nakita niya sa babaeng to, but sometimes Ashton irritated me. Palaging bukambibig nito ang pangalan ng babae to the point na naitatak na ito sa ulo ko - Celene Cruz.
Nagsimulang harangan ni Ashton ang corridor habang kunwaring nakikipag usap kay Miko. I stayed at the side observing the girl.
My gaze lingered at her face and I raised a brow when I realize she's good looking.
She rolled her eyes as she saw the corridor being blocked. The other way was out of use -- under contraction pa so she has no other choice but to cross Ashton path.
I smirked as I saw her face creased with annoyance.
"Excuse me!" she interrupted. Ashton smiled and turned to face her. "If you had something to talk about, you should talk somewhere -- you're blocking a way!"
Mike and Miko let out a laugh.
As she walked past us, she turned with her annoyed face. "Walang nakakatawa!" baling niya kay Mike and Miko.
Ashton gave up after one year of trying to get her attention. But for a damn fucking shit! I find myself interested in her! I dig about her before I know she's the girl Vince wanted me to look for.
It pissed me off whenever I'm near her and she couldn't feel my presence. Now I know how Ashton felt.
The frustration at her overflow. Now, I'll have that snobbish Celene Athena Cruz. By hook or by crook.
