Shays pov:
I wake up and head to the kitchen and see kelly and matt eating breakfast so i make me some breakfast. Me and kelly are excited today because we get to find out the genders of are babies. Me and him have talked and we decided that hes gonna adopt and be their dad. We all talk. The firehouse has this bet on the genders but kelly and i think its a boy and girl but we are happy with whatever they are. Everyone has been super supportive and herrmann has been so excited witch is cute. i finish eating i shower and get dressed into leggings and a t-shirt because its the only comfortable thing to wear now.
Kellys pov:
Shay comes out to the kitchen she makes breakfast and matt shay and i talk about the babies and the genders. After shay eats she goes and takes a shower. Me and matt talk. He has been super supportive about me adopting the twins once their born witch I'm super excited about. Me and matt talk for a little than he leaves i give him a kiss and he says "i love you" he says "i love you more". Than leaves. By the time he leaves shay is out of the shower so i go shower and get ready than we head to the doctors.
Shays pov:
We get to the doctors and i fill out my paperwork than we get called so we head to the room and she starts the ultrasound. It takes her a little over 5 minutes. Than she says "so you guys would like to know the sex of the babies". Kelly and i smile at each other than say "yes please". She says "okay baby A is a girl and baby B is a boy". Me and kelly smile and we start tearing up. She finishes the ultrasound than hands me the ultrasound pictures and says congratulations mom and dad then we leave the doctors office. Once we get to the car. I give kelly a hug and say "oh my goodness we were right". He says "yes we were". We both start tearing up out of joy than we head back to home. We plan on telling everyone next shift.
Kellys pov:
Once the doctor tells us the genders of the babies i start tearing up and get excited I always knew I wanted kids i never expected it to be so soon. We head back home. Once we get home me and shay sit in the living room talking about names. She says how about grayson and Courtney i say ehh. I say how about tyler we can call him ty. She says ohh i like that. I say yeah we can definitely put it on the lift of baby names. She says yeah. We decide to make lunch. Than head to target.
Once we get to target of course shay goes to the baby section and we pick out a couple little outfits.than get a couple house hold items than head home.
Next shift...
shay pov:
once we get to shift everyone is excited to hear the genders. We wait till everyone is done eating breakfast than me and kelly get up. I say okay so as everyone knows we found out the genders yesterday. Everyone gets even more excited. I say "baby A is a.... Girl" everyone cheers and kelly says "baby B is a... Boy!". Everyone gets up and graduates us and Hermann says i knew it. I laugh and say yes.
Kellys pov:
After we tell everyone the genders everyone congratulates us. I start tearing up a little so i head to my quarters and sit at my desk. I always thought that levi would be here for this I always pictured us chasing are kids around together. I realize that i am full on crying. Casey opens up my door a little and says "babe?" I say "yeah come in". He looks at me and sees that I'm crying and says "hey are you okay baby?". I close the door and blinds and sit on my bed next to him and say " I always thought Levi would be here for this. I always thought we could be hanging out at the house chilling while are kids played around". He says "I'm sorry baby than gives me a hug. I hug him for a minute than he gives me a kiss. He says "I'm here for whatever you need". I say "i know". I wipe my tears away that were on my face. Casey chills in my quarters while i do some paperwork. Than we get a call. "Ambo 61 truck 81 squad 3 Battalion 25 person trapped". We get in are rigs and head to the scene. Once we get there we go inside the building a person is trapped inside a elevator. Chief starts giving orders. Me and casey go and get the girl out then we head back to 51. Once we get to 51 everyone goes into the common room and start giving us name ideas for the babies. The day goes by quick. Its 12:00 am everyone is asleep besides me and casey. We sit on the sofa in the common room talking we decide it will be more comfortable if we go into one of are quarters. We go into caseys quarters and we sit on the bed and cuddle for a little than i end up falling asleep. We wake up and eat breakfast and chill in the common room for a little while until shift end. Me and shay head back home.
Shays pov:
Once we get home i go shower. Than get dressed into joggers and a light sweater.
Kellys pov:
Once we get home shay goes shower i head to my room and sit on the bed. I have a picture of Levi and i in a picture frame. I look at it and start tearing up again. I lay down and just stare at the wall. Its been hard lately with everything I'm excited to be a dad and i love shay and matt but after i got to 51 I started being myself again but now its been really hard lately I might seem fine and happy but i have been going off into my room or quarters and just cry. I haven't told anyone because i don't want anyone to know. Its not just about Levi its about a few other things to.
