kellys pov:
i go back to work tomorrow. amelia has offered to watch the kids when im on shift. it is 7:30 pm. i feed and bathe the twins and put them down for bed. i pack the twins diaper bag than shower. i talk to matt on the phone for awhile than go lay down for bed. i am worried for tomorrow because i am not ready to leave the twins yet. it has only been a month since shay left but it feels so much longer and i miss her more and more every day. i fall asleep. i wake up at 6 am i make coffee and breakfst awhile the twins are still asleep. they wake up so i change and feed them.i get ready and leave to go to amelias. i get there. i bring them inside and bring their stuff inside. i talk to amelia for a few than say goodbye. even tho i really didn't want to. i tell amelia to call me if she needs anything. kiss the twins goodbye than leave. i get to the car and i start tearing up. i drive to 51 and head to chiefs office. i get to his office and knock. . he says ''come in''. i say ''good morning chief''. he says '' good morning severide glad to finally have you back''. i say ''good to be back''. he says ''you 100% ready to work''. i say '' yes chief i am''. he says ''good it's nice to have you back''. i say thank you than go to the coomon room.
chiefs pov:
i here a knock at my door. i say come in. its severide. we say hellos. i am a little worried about him. i know shay leaving is hard on him and being a new single father. but i know he will give 110% to the job.
kellys pov:
i go to the common room. everyone welcomes me back. i say hi to everyone than head to my office and start on paper work that has been staking up on my desk. matt comes in and ask how my day is going. i say ''fine i miss the twins tho''. he says ''yeah and gives me a forehead kiss. stella knocks on my door. i say ''yeah''. she says ''chief wants to talk to you and casey''. i say ''okay''. we givebeach other a look and head to chiefs office. he says ''come in''.
matts pov:
i go into kellys office to ask how he is since im a bit worried for him. he says he is fine just like i thought he would. stella comes and says that chief wants kelly and i in his office both of us confused we head to his office.
kellys pov:
we go into chiefs office he tells us to sit down. he ask ''how is your first day back kelly''. i say ''fine''. he says ''great''. he say ''good i wanted to talk to you both about something''. matt and i nod and say ''yeah'', he says '' a new firefighter on truck i know kelly dosen't exactly need to be in on this chat but it is ebvan buckley and i know that you kelly know him?''. i say ''yeah uhmm buck he is my brother i have only talked to him a few times'', he says ''do you think you two could work together''. i say ''yeah he seems like a good guy''. he says ''okay casey how was he when he was here is he a good firefighter''.
matts pov:
chief says he is thinking about adding him to 81. he ask if he is a good firefighter since he filled in for mouch on 81 before. i say ''he is good firefighter hard worker. he says ''okay i just have some paper work to fill out than he will be at 51.
kellys pov:
matt says he is a good firefighter. chief says he jsut has to fill out paper work and he will be at 51. i ask '' does he know about this''. he says ''yeah he knows'.i say ''okay''. than we get a call. ''sqaud 3 truck 81 ambo 61 sucidal person''. we get into the rigs and head to the scene. a male in his 20s is standing off the bridge that is over water. the negotiator is speaking to him. after he moves closer to the edge i ask if i can talk with him. the negotitor says sure. i talk to the man i says ''my name is kelly what is yours''. he stutters and says ''mike''. i say ''okay mike can you scoot of the edge please''. he says ''no i can't it is to late i already messed up''. i say ''mess up how''. he says '' with brittany my ex girlfriend''. i say ''what happend''. he says ''she left me after everything her and i been through i have nothing else to live for''. i say '' but you do i know how you feel mike''. he says '' no you don't''. i say ''yes i do last year someone i loved died i thought i had nobody else i thought i should just give up ubtil i met someone who showed me life is worth living someone who who makes me smile everyday. someone who makes me feel loved. just because she wasn't the one doen't mean no one is you could meet then tomorrow or next week or today even you never know just come down please mike we can talk about it''. he says '' ye yeah okay''. and steps down. matt and i go grab him''. ambo takes him to med. we finish up and head back. i goo into my office to call Amelia and check up on the twins. we finish the call and matt comes in. he say ''bck at the call is that all true''. i say ''yeah''. he says ''oh''. i say ''yeah i was thinking we should have buck over for dinner tomorrow if he wants to''. he says ''yeah tahts fine''. i say ''okay i ask him''. he says ''okay''. i text and ask him. he says ''yeah im down just send me that addres''. i say ''okay''. we finish shift i go and pick up the twins than head home.
