Kellys pov:
I wake up at 7:00 am. Tyler is awake but I continue to lay there with him for a few minutes. 10 minutes later i decided to get up. I get up and change tyler still very tired. I make him a bottle and feed him. Matt walks in. He says "hey babe I brought breakfast". I say "oh thanks". He comes in gives me a hug. He looks at me. "You look tired". I say "yeah I didn't sleep well and need to shower". He says "i will watch them go shower". I say "you sure". He says "yeah go take care of yourself". I say "okay if Olivia wakes up she will probably be hungry and need changed". He says "okay". I go and get in the shower.
Matts pov:
Kelly goes and shower. I hold tyler. He starts getting a bit fussy. I sway back in forth with him. I say "it will be okay you daddy will be okay". And look towards the bathroom. As I'm worried about him. Olivia starts to wake up so i put tyler in his baby rocker. I go and grab Olivia. I change her and make her bottle. I sit on the couch. And feed her. Kelly comes out. I say "feel better". He says "yeah".
Kellys pov:
I get out of the shower and brush my teeth and get dressed. I go out into the living room and see matt feeding Olivia. He says "feel better". I say "yeah". He says "good". I say "you want to eat now". He says "sure". I say "okay i will warm it up". I warm up the food and we eat. We finish eating 10 minutes later than matt says he has to get to shift. I say okay and give him a kiss goodbye. Tyler fell asleep in his rocker so i decide to lay him down. I rock Olivia hoping she will fall back asleep. 15 minutes later she falls asleep so i lay her down. I clean up the kitchen and do dishes. I finish and they kids are still asleep. I go and sit on the couch to relax. But all i can seem to think about is shay. And think about the life we could have had with the kids. I sit there with tears for 35 minutes until Olivia wakes up crying. I try holding her and swaying her around but it doesn't work. I know they miss shay and so do i so much even tho its been a day. She finally calms down. I notice that we need formula and some diapers. Tyler wakes up I decide to go to the store. I change them and than put them in their car seats and head to the store. I get to the store and get some essentials. We leave the store and decide to go visit everyone at 51 since I haven't seen them and talk to boden about taking a longer leave. I arrive to 51. I get the twins and head inside. Everyone is in the common room. Everyone says hey. I get them out of their car seat. Sylvie offers to take Olivia so she holds her. Chief comes in and says "hey kelly". I say "hey chief". I look at matt and ask if he can hold tyler real quick. He says yeah. I look back at chief and ask if we can talk he says yeah so we head to his office. We get go his office and he says "how are you doing". I say "fine considering". He said "yeah". I say "I wanted to ask if i can take a longer leave since its just me now". He says "of course kelly however long you need". I say "thanks chief". And head back to the common room. I pass the apparatus floor and see a man walk in. I go and talk to him. I say "hey can i help you". He says "i am looking for kelly severide". I say "i am severide". He says "um i am evan buckley uhh everyone calls me buck is there someplace we can talk". I say "sure and head to the briefing room". He says "umm I think you might be my brother". I say "brother?". He says "yeah i just found out a few weeks ago about my father benny severide". I say "yeah benny is my father". He says "i just found out about him a few weeks ago and found out about you so I asked around and they said you worked here". I say "yeah". He says "you don't seem to surprised". I say "its benny its not to shocking he had a kid no one knows about". He says "oh". Matt walks in "babe". He looks at buck and says "oh sorry to interrupt he wont stop crying". Talking about tyler. I say "here". He hands me tyler and i try to calm him down. I say to matt. "Umm this is my brother". He says "I didn't know you had a brother". I say "neither did i". He looks at me and than the bells go off i say "be safe i don't need to loose you to". He says "i will". Sylvie brings me Olivia before they head out on the call. I try to calm tyler down while holding Olivia. "So how did you find out about benny" i say as i try to calm tyler. He says "umm i found out that who I thought was my father isn't and than I eventually found out that my father is benny than thats when i found out about you". I say "oh". Still trying to calm down tyler. "Want me to take her so you can calm him down". I say "sure thanks". And i hand him Olivia. "So what type of person is benny". He ask. I say "benny well he is benny we don't exactly get along but he also doesn't get along with many people". He says "oh". I say "yeah so are you from Chicago". He says "i grew up in Pennsylvania and than i did some traveling trying to get away from my parents than ended up joining the cfd". I say "oh so you are firefighter". He says "yeah a little over a year now at firehouse 40 you?". I say " grew up in Chicago been a firefighter for a long time now but only been at 51 for 9 months". He says "I heard great things about this place". I say "yeah 51 and everyone is the best here". He says "well i got to go meet my friend for lunch". I say "okay". He said "here is my number". I say "okay". And we trade numbers and than he leaves". I say looking at the twins "well wasn't expecting that". And i head out into the common room". I sit in the common room with the twins and everyone comes back 30 minutes later".
