Shays pov:
I get to shift and me and Kelly head to chief's office i say "hey chief can we talk" he says "yeah what up" and shuts the door. I say "i was wondering if i can be put on light duty because I'm pregnant with twins". He looks up at Kelly and i with a smile and says "congratulations". Than gives me hug. He looks at kelly and i and says "wait is it kellys". Kelly and i both chuckle and say "no". I say "the father is out of the picture but kelly is gonna be a good father figure". Kelly looks at me and smiles. Chief says "okay i will put you on desk duty when are you telling everyone. I say "today". He smiles and says okay.
Kelly pov:
After shay and i walk out of chiefs office i look at shay and say "good father figure?". She says "yeah you will be a good one". I am surprised if her words because we haven't talked much about it but i know me and the babys would have some type of relationship i didnt think father figure but I'm happy. I go into caseys quarters and say hi to him we talk for a little than go eat breakfast.
Shays pov:
While everyone is eating I decide it will be a good time to tell everyone. I stand up in the middle of the common room and get everyone's attention. They look at me i say "so i have some news". They look at me with confusion besides kelly". I say " i am pregnant with twins". Everyone smiles and comes and hugs me and congratulates me.
Kelly pov:
After everyone congratulates shay me and Casey look at each other and basically decide it will be a good time to tell everyone. We get up and stand next to each other. Casey says "since we are sharing good news me and kelly have news". They look at us than we look at each other. I say "me and matt are together". Mouch says "together?". I chuckle and say "we are dating". Everyone looks surprised. Than herrmann says " i knew you to would make a great couple". Smile and say ohh.
Casey pov:
While we finish eating breakfast we talk about shay and her pregnancy and me and kellys relationship. Brett ask boden "so who's filling in for shay". Chief looks at mills well i was thinking maybe mills since hes trained but only if its okay with mills of course. Mills says "of course chief". Than the bells go off " all units structure fire". So we all get into are rigs and head to the scene. We get to the scene and its a restaurant. I start giving orders squad and truck head in. We look around and kelly and i find 2 victims and we bring them out. We finish are search than Engine puts out the fire than we head back to 51.
Kellys pov:
Once we get back to 51 we all chill in the common room casey and i sit at the round table everyone is doing their own thing. Me and casey decide to head to his quarters. We sit and talk casey ask "so how will this whole thing with shay workout is she still going to be living with you after the babies come". I say "yeah she said something about me being the father figure earlier witch caught me by surprise i mean she is my best friend i just haven't thought about it. He says "oh". I say "you dont mind me having 2 little kids do you". Matt says "no of course not you will make a good dad and i love kids". I say "okay". He gives me a kiss than we hang out.
Shays pov:
I am sitting in the common room everyone is asking questions basic questions. Mills ask "so how will this workout since you live with severide". I say "well me and him are super close hes my best friend hes been by my side and going to every appointment with me we have a few things to go over but i see him more as the father figure since the bio dad ran off". Mills says "ohh okay". I say "yeah". We all hang out for a little awhile than i head back to the bull pin to get some work done. It's definitely weird being on desk duty but i know its best for the babies. While im working i think about the babies and what if its boys or girls or both. I have been thinking about names even tho im pretty early into my pregnancy.
Kellys pov:
A couple hours go by brett comes and tells us that mills made lunch so we all head out to the common room and eat. After we eat we all chill we get a couple calls but nothing big i chill with casey in my quarters. We end up cuddling and falling asleep. We wake up and eat breakfast we chill shift end so I go and say bye to matt and give him a kiss than me and shay head back home. Once i get home i grab levi from the neighbors than i get inside and go shower. Once I finish showering i get dressed and clean up around the house.
