Going back to work on Monday was a comforting. My desk chair felt like a warm hug.

It was nearing the end of the day and I was flipping through the last of my paperwork. It had really piled up on my time off.

"Get up," Derek barked from his desk, slinging his jacket over his shoulders.

"Huh?" Derek snapped the file I held in my hand, shut.

"It's Monday." He waited for my response, but I was lost. "We're going out remember. Now get up, get your stuff." He slapped my back.

I rolled my eyes but jumped off my chair, letting it spin behind me.

I let Derek drag me into the elevator and towards his car. I piled into a car with Derek and Penelope.

"I'm glad you're coming," Penelope gave me a half hug, as tight as the small space in the car would allow.

Why did all our nights out involve bars. At least it was distracting. Not for me, but it distracted the others from zoning in on me.

Derek brought over drinks to the table, handing them out to everyone. He placed a drink in front of me.

"I'm good." I slid it across to Hotch.

"Seriously kid," Derek whined. His mouth turned downwards. "Okay... fine." Derek put his hands up. "I'll stop. If you tell me what you did on Friday night. When you went out with your 'friend'."

"It was just a party." I pushed the glass further away from me.

"She invited you to a party?" Derek quipped. "Why would she do that? Actually, how did she make you agree to come? You're not exactly a big partier."

"Who invited him to a party?" Emily leaned in closer, intrigued by our conversation.

"Y/n," Derek smiled.

"Clearly, I'm missing something. Whose Y/n?" Emily trained her eyes on me.

"Reid says she's, his friend." Derek jested.

"She is," I confirmed.

"I believe you," Derek patted my shoulder. "Then you won't mind entertaining me. It's the least you can do after ignoring us for a week."

"Entertain you?" I pushed his hand off my shoulder.

"Yeah. It's simple. I bet that you can't go and talk to a girl in here without embarrassing yourself. And I mean actually make conversation for an extended period of time. Like flirt with them. I want to see that." Derek's grin got widder.

"Morgan, seriously... he can do that easy," Emily rolled her eyes.

"I bet you $100 then," Derek held out his hand for Emily.

She looked at it and then shook it. "$100." Then she turned to me. "Don't let me down Reid."

"You are not being serious," I scoffed.

"It's just a game Reid." Penelope justified.

"Reid. What would you hate more? Letting Morgan be right or just doing it." JJ contemplated.

"I would also appreciate me $100 richer." Emily wiggled her eyebrows.

I noticed that Hotch was staying out of it, but he glanced up occasionally up from his phone. He was enjoying himself.

"Fine," I sighed. "But only to prove Morgan wrong."

"Glad to hear it Pretty Boy." Derek thumped my back.
