The prickly brick, that my shoulder was leaning against, was piercing through my shirt.
I stood around the corner as she stepped hesitantly out of the door, yet her every step seemed fuelled by excitement. She was lost when you couldn't see me. She backed along the edge of the sidewalk, doubting my word. Her hair wisped onto her face. She balanced on the balls of her feet, not letting the uneven surface of the sidewalk get the better of her.
I was enjoying myself far too much, seeing her tormented by the mere memory of me.
I caught her arm as she wandered past me. She gasped as I pulled her back into the alley, pushing her up against the wall. Her chest moved up and down rapidly as her eyes adjusted to the darkness.
Her panic ceased when she found my eyes. "Oh," she gasped.
"You thought I left," I taunted her.
"No." The untruthfulness was hard for her to hide.
"DON'T... lie," I pushed her further against the wall. I needed her to know exactly who was in charge and exactly what I expected. I had established my mission as soon as she entertained my conversation.
I had my way out. My distraction for the night.
She gulped. "I'm still wondering why you asked me to come with you. I feel like I dreamt it," she whispered, her heat picking up pace again.
I silently chuckled brushing her hair behind her ear. "You didn't." I latched on her neck, the sweet smile of vanilla intoxicating me as he run my tongue over her skin. I suckled on the most sensitive part of her throat.
And there it was...
I had a woman, whose name I didn't even know, moaning into my ear.
In the dark alley, with no one around, aside from the occasional pedestrian who didn't notice, I push my knee in between her legs. She grappled to cling onto me, faltering as her legs gave way to me. I snapped the back above her head, warning her with my eyes. "Who are you," she exhaled.
I breathed in her exhale. "It doesn't matter."
Our each kiss became more ravenous, with only the thin material of our clothes shielding us. Even through the barrier, we ground against each other causing a stir underneath.
It wasn't until she laced her fingers through mine that I choked. Because I felt nothing. It was nothing like when I held...Y/N's hand.
And then I thought of her.
Y/N.
What would she make of this?
It's better than relapsing right?
Y/n would understand, wouldn't she? I mean it's not like we are... well anything???
But know I felt sick to my stomach. How could I think for one second that touching someone else. Letting someone else touch me.
I was doing this to feel something other than the need to diminish my pain. But instead, I felt nothing.
Shit.
What am I doing? I staggered back, wiping my lips.
"Are you alright?" The woman uncomfortably.
"Yeah," I paced back and forth, holding my head the headache creeping back. "I'm sorry... it's just... ummm... nothing to do with you. I just..." My mouth became dry.
The woman, hesitantly stepped forward, lightly placing her hand on my arm. "What's her name?"
I stopped abruptly. "Huh?"
"What's her name?" She waited while I said nothing. "You don't have to say." She looked up at the sky. "If it make you feel any better all I could think of was my ex too so..." She shrugged, pulling a face of disappointment. "I do have to say something though. It's a little piece of advice that a friend gave me earlier. It might benefit you too." She inhaled deeply as she pieced together her thoughts. "Either you tell them, or you move on. There's no point in doing nothing. You will just torment yourself." She looked back at me as I pondered her words. "I hope you figure it out." She clicked away. I was left with the turmoil bouncing around my head.
