Chapter 31

"All the members in this packs were rogues. Some of them got kicked out of their pack for horrible things. Like Suho, the one you put your fork in. Others, like me have left their packs on their own for personal reasons. The Alpha has been hunting the world for decades to find rogues and bring them together, to give them a place and a family. There are different stories about why the Alpha left his pack. Some said he killed someone and some said he was angry because he wasn't going to be the next Alpha. We have Luna, but we don't see her often. The whispers are that her heart is broken by the lose of her child. That child must be you! Basically we have been living here forever, trying to find new pack members everyday. Or well, not me. I'm not a warrior." Kai said.

I'm processing his words. Most of it are based on rumours and whispers amongst the wolves. We all know that they aren't trust worthy.

"Can you describe the Luna?" I'm so close to Kai that I almost headbutted him. But he didn't bother.

"She has long black hair, green eyes, is about 5'3. She has a tattoo on her back that says 'Sleep tight my angel, Sleep sound my baby. Mommy will guide you, for the lights will die when you fade.' She has a scar over the side of her face."

I stopped breathing as the memory that has been hidden inside my head surfaces.

'You are an angel, my love. If you die, the lights of the world will fade to darkness.'

My mother is alive. An alarm rings so suddenly and so loud that we covered our ears. Kai got up immediately, he grabbed my arm and smeared something that looks lot like blood on my bracelet. I tried to pull away until the bracelets break and falls on the floor. He did the same to the other. I can feel my magic coming up deep inside me, singing at the sense of freedom. Kai ran towards the door.

"We're under attack! Let's go."

The main hall was filled with fighting wolves, the front door laying on the floor and a part of the wall missing. Snarls and howls of pain rang my ears. I didn't recognize anyone between the wolves. Kai has jumped in the middle of battle, fighting along. A wolf jumped on top of him and I summoned my magic to knock the wolf away. He flies across the room into a wall.

"Stop!" I said, no one listened. A wolf step closer towards me, breathing in my scent. He howled at me and that's when realisation hit me. It's Taehyung, he's here somewhere. I ran between the fighting wolves, dodging blows.

"Taehyung!" But none of the wolves looked my way. I'm searching the whole place looking for his fur, but it's nowhere to be seen. I took the stairs two at a time. I summoned my wind once more as an wolf tried to attack me. Panic and frustration sets my body on fire. I ran room in and out, trying to find Taehyung to end this.

I want to see my mother. He can't do this right now! A heavy weight hit me from the behind, I fell on the ground harshly. I hear a loud crack as my nose crash on the land. My eyes start to water, i can feel saliva drip on me from the growling wolf on top of me. The shock has put my fire down, but I quickly put it on again. The wolf doesn't get off me though. I don't smell the burns of fur or flesh. This must be one of the wolves with the protection spell! I tried to wriggle underneath him, but he is too heavy to get off. His teeth sink into my shoulder and I almost screamed.

Think, Jisoo. You're a warrior. You trained for this I told myself. I bring my arm up tk elbow him in his face. He faltered a little and I used the gap to quickly turn around.

Suho is staring at me, growling in such a low tone that it sounded sinister. I brought up my knee to hit him in the stomach but his teeth quickly sink into my arm again. This time I screamed. His teeth hit the nerves that have pain shooting up over my arm to my shoulder. Before I can make another move I heard a growl so terrifying, I flinched. With the blink of an eye Suho was pushed off me. His teeth taking a piece out of my arm, making tears ran over my face. I managed to blink them away and got up. My hands full of fire I turned towards him. Taehyung's beautiful grey fur covering almost every inch of Suho. I let myself feel relieved for a second, before noises of pain brought me back to reality.

"Taehyung, No! Let him go." I shouted. Taehyung's eyes flickered briefly to mine. They shined brightly with anger. My body betrayed me by taking a step back. His power radiates of him, making the hairs on my arm to stand up. I almost bow to him, my wolf-side submissing to his power. He slowly let ho of Suho, the moment he step back Suho got up and ran away. Taehyung's eyes fall on my arm, he growled deeply again.

"It's okay. I'm okay." We stared at each other. He is now filled with worry. He lowered his head in submission as he walk towards me. I dropped to my knees and hugged him. I put my face in his neck, his scent calming me. The pain is pushed to the background as are the sounds of battle.

Suddenly, growls are snapping us back to attention. Taehyung instantly turned around protecting my body with his. Jiwon stood before us. He has the same height as Taehyung, his teeth sharp as he looked him in anger. Before I can speak, they jumped at each other. I let out a little scream which distracted Taehyung. Jiwon took this as his advantage and sank his teeth into the side of Taehyung's face. Taehyung struggled but Jiwon doesn't let go. I saw blood dripping down from him and my heart twists in my chest.

All seems to be in a slow motion. Taehyung who is my love was screaming in pain while Jiwon who apparently my birth Dad biting him. I was frozen at the spot while the battle cry is surrounded my ears.
