I'm sitting in the grass of an open field waiting for Rosé. Father said he sent a message, he wanted to come along but I didn't want him to. How much I admire Rosé and her strength, I don't want to go along with this plan. I'll figure something else. I hear twigs breaking and I turn my head towards the sound that came from. Rosé's blonde hair gives her out before she shows herself. It's a beacon in the dark, not that very handy if you're hiding. I move to stand up but a dizziness comes over me making me almost fall back on my ass. I manage to straighten myself by focusing on my breathing and shutting my eyes closed tightly. When I open them again Rosé's face is almost touching mine. I jump back a little at the unexpected closeness.

"Remarkable, I have never seen someone falter so fastly after leaving their Mate behind." I pop up one brow in confusion. I was just dizzy, it means nothing.

"Probably had something bad to eat." Rosé cocks her head to the side in response.

"You wanted to meet me?" Happy that she dropped the subject.

"Father has told me about your...plan. I don't want to kill the king. He's still my Mate's father" Rosé plops down on the grass in a very unlady-like manner. I mimic her and sit down.

"If you don't you'll die" she leans back on her elbows, gazing up to me.

"He won't find me, even if he does he won't catch me" my words are way too confident. The King has hundreds of warriors.

"He has already found you, yet he was not the one I was talking about. If you don't get reunited with your Mate you will get sick by the hour until eventually you and your Mate will die. You and I both know that the King won't allow you near his son."

"What do you mean he has already found me?" I ignore the part about Taehyung. Somewhere deep down I'm still afraid that he rejected me for being me. All those fights about being a warrior... The problem my family has caused...

"He came to me today.. yelling and screaming how he heard you were hiding in my territory. Of course he wouldn't dare to touch me. If you wait too long either he will find you or you will die because of your rejection." She looks up to the sky and I follow her gaze. A group of birds are flying over, singing their beautiful song. I think about her words, there has to be another way. If I kill the King, Taehyung will never forgive me. I'll never forgive myself for putting Aerin through that.

"There is a spell made by a witch a long time ago. You're Mate's mother can survive." I look at her in shock. Nobody's ever heard of such a spell.

"Where is it?" Rosé bows forward shooting me a smile.

"The King has it, of course!" I roll my eyes. Of course he has it. I search my mind for every option possible. If I don't kill the King he'll kill me. Or I'll live alone without Taehyung always on the run, never being able to be happy again or feel alive. If I lock the King up he will probably dominate his guards into letting him out again or the pack will go against Taehyung as he will become the King. If I kill the King Taehyung will hate me forever even though I save his mother. Aerin will be forever alone and in pain. A grief that never stops. I once again feel trapped in my life and I wish Taehyung was here. I wish I could talk to him about this or hold him. I feel depressed, being away from him. Maybe Rosé's right and I do need to be close to him.

"Train me. Teach me what you know and when time comes I'll make a decision. I don't want to kill the King but maybe I don't have any other choice." A wolf scent fills my nose. I'm up in a flash, Rosé following my lead. Her back presses against mine as I squirm my eyes to see through the trees. The hairs on my neck stand up and even before he speaks I know he's there.
