-UNDERWORLD-

Hades and Kore stared at each other for a few seconds without uttering a single word. She felt as if she was in a trance...this god had her curious... hypnotized.

-       "Is there anything to do?" Kore asked breaking the silence. "I know you said there's no other way but...my garden...the nymphs...they must be worried. My mom!"

-       "I'm sorry..." Hades said.

-       "But I mean...there's still a chance, we haven't had a wedding yet." Kore said.

-       "Wedding? we're not mortals..." Hades said taken aback...she was so naïve. "You became my wife the second you got here... We're bound" Hades told her.

She opened her eyes wide...She knew things were serious...well not only serious...but out of proportion. She was still processing what he just told her when he started talking again.

-       "Look." Hades said while standing up. "We don't have to play husband and wife. We are both clearly uncomfortable with this situation. You have your room, you can ask for anything you need...this palace is now yours...I know is not what you thought your life would be or how it would have played out, but is what you got. I'm not charming Apollo or have a palace filled with gardens and flowers. I'm sorry...We've got to deal with it."

Kore stood up and started walking towards the door

Kore stood up and started walking towards the door. She opened it and stood by it, facing him.

-       "Thanks for talking to me. I'll go get some rest." Kore said as Hades walked towards her.

Hades gave a forced smile and closed the door. She walked to her room and before opening the door she started thinking. She knew Zeus was the ruler of all...but she wasn't afraid of him. She grew up away from gods so she didn't knew the wrath they could unleash. She somehow trusted Hades, she believed him, but he was so relaxed about this whole thing. She couldn't rely on him to help her return home. She entered her room in a rush and walked straight to the closet. She put on a cloak, looked in the mirror to tie her hair and started walking out the door to see if she could find someone on the palace. For her luck, she found Cora.

-       "Your highness!" Cora said while bowing. "Is there anything I can do for you?" she asked.

-       "Actually yes...yes there is. I want to get to know this realm...After all this is my home now." Kore said fake smiling.

-       "Your highness, of course, we can do that tomorrow. Is not safe at these hours. I'll arrange some horses for tomorrow." Cora said.

-       "No!" Kore yelled. "Ready the horses now...please...I'll go alone don't worry. Just tell me where is the entrance to the underworld...I want to see it...you know? I had my eyes closed the whole journey here."

-       "Your highness...is not safe for you...I'll go with you." Cora said.

-       "I'm sorry...do you wish for me to tell my husband you're disobeying an order from your queen?" Kore said shaking and heavy breathing trying to appear confident.

-       "My apologies your highness, please forgive me." Cora bowed. "Please follow me; I'll take you to the horses."

-       "Thank you, just one horse will do." Kore said as she smiled with her eyes.

Cora turned leading the way. Kore let a small sigh out, as she looked a Cora from behind... she felt horrible for talking to her like that.

Kore started walking towards the horse. She got what she wanted; she felt confident. She got on the horse and rode away. She passed streets, buildings and souls wandering as got out of "the city". "It wasn't that scary after all" she thought. She grew used to the darkness in the past few days. She headed into the woods as Cora told her. After an hour approximately, she would find the entrance. She didn't knew how, but she was determined to get out of that place. She refused to be held against her will. While she was riding and thinking all of that something hit her from the side, throwing her off the horse. She landed harshly on the ground. She barely could move, and when she looked up to see, there was a huge creature with big horns and enormous claws running towards her. She opened her eyes wide. What was that creature?
