EPISODE 17: Summon meYou can listen to "War of hearts" by Ruelle
-UNDERWORLD-
Cora couldn't help herself. After thinking it for a while, she went and knocked on Hades door. Hades opened the door and saw Cora knees on the floor, bowing.
- "My lord. I'm sorry to disturb you...but I think it is important that you know this." She said facing the floor.
- "What's the matter?" Hades said with a rough face.
- "My lord...The Queen has taken a horse...she told me she wanted to see the realm...but she asked for the entrance of the underworld. She went to the forest alone" Cora said with a scared face.
Hades looked down while clenching his jaw. He let a sigh out and looked back at Cora.
- "Stand up. Ready a horse." He commanded.
- "At once, my Lord." Cora said as she stood up and walked away.
Hades quickly put his clothes on and got out the room. He took the horse and ridded towards the woods...towards the entrance of the underworld. He knew what she wanted to do; he knew she wanted to go back. He didn't want to keep her against her will, but it wasn't safe. He ridded for a while and still couldn't find her. On the other side, Kore was on the ground, looking face to face with that monster.
She was receding with her hands; she tried to find a stick or something to "protect" herself from that thing. She was without words. Never in her life had she seen such a thing. It got near to her and hit her so hard she landed a few feet away from her original position. She started grunting from the pain. The monster started running really fast towards her. She figured there wasn't anything else for her to do; she had never been in such position so she was paralyzed. Hades was riding the horse fast; he knew about the creatures of the forest. Kore was nowhere to be found. He feared something might have happened to her already. After all, she was a young goddess, she probably wouldn't know how to defend herself. He didn't understood the urge he had to find her...he cared for her. Hades closed his eyes as he continued riding that horse and whispered "Kore, summon me." She heard him in her mind, she was confused, but as that monster ran towards her, she closed her eyes and said "Hades". In that very instant he appeared in front of her as a shield. He took the hit from the monster, but he had already drawn his sword.
The monsters vanished into dust. She saw the monster was nowhere to be found and proceeded to faint.
- "Kid!" Hades yelled.
She was lying on the ground in the snow. He looked at her red hair... her pale and fair face as she was unconscious. He got down and gently caressed her face, then carried her with both hands and started walking. Hades walked while looking at her face. He could have vanished into the palace...but he didn't. He decided to walk through his dark forest with Kore in his arms.
