EPISODE 24: Dear mother
-HUMAN REALM: THE GARDEN-
Demeter arrived at the garden dragging her daughter by the hand. Kore pushed her mother's hands from hers and Demeter turned to see her.
- "Kore!..." Demeter said in a worried tone.
- "What mother? Are you happy now? I'm here, as you wanted." Kore said annoyed.
- "My dear daughter...why are you so angry, I saved you." She said with her hand in her chest. "I saved you from that horrible place!" She pointed down.
- "Oh dear mother, I didn't asked to be saved!..." the girl said with a cynical laugh as her eyes turned slowly red.
- "Didn't you thought about that? Did it ever crossed your mind? Huh? How you suffocate me?"
- "Kore, my child, that's no place for a goddess like you! By the side of Hades!? You would have never been happy there." Demeter yelled angrily.
- "I WAS HAPPY!" Kore yelled with her eyes completely red.
- "ENOUGH! You're still young; you don't know what you're saying. Go with the nymphs now and stop this nonsense, this is your home." Demeter said in a peremptory tone.
- "Everything has to be your way, right Demeter?" Kore said. "Don't call me by that foolish name anymore, this ain't my home and I don't belong to you." She said as she vanished.
Demeter was surprised by the attitude her daughter had, she didn't understood. For her, her daughter belonged to her. She didn't wanted to "share her" with anybody and less if it was in the underworld...away from her. Kore appeared near the river, where the nymphs were. She didn't even notice she vanished from one place to another. Her powers were flowing through her body. She was furious...raging. Wind circulated around her, moving her hair. A red aura surrounded her. The nymphs were working on the grass, growing flowers and trees. They all looked at her...excited at first.
- "Kore?" One asked with a confused face.
She wasn't in her right mind, she wasn't thinking straight. Anger took control of her, something that had never happened to her before. She stood in front of them very serious. There were at least 100 nymphs there. Kore raised her hand, pointing at them, and as she pointed, sharp tree branches were fired at them. Some of them ran. Some of them were shot as blue glittery blood came out from them as they died. Kore stood still moving her eyes to the side to see the remaining nymphs running.
She raised both arms and made trees fall on top of them crushing a few nymphs. Screams took over the place. She lifted the remaining nymphs in the air and sank them in the river. They fought to catch their breath, dying one by one. Nereid was running as she screamed and prayed for Zeus help. Kore made her levitate in the air.
- "Kore stop! Please!" She screamed while having difficulty to breathe. "This isn't you." Her eyes filled with the greatest fear.
- "Oh...but this is exactly who I am...I am the Queen of the Underworld... the wife of Hades...I am Persephone...the bringer of death." She said as she crushed her and threw her broken body in the river and watched as it got carried away.
