Miles and I walked into my apartment in Mayfair. The briefing session at the basement had been a long five hours. We hadn't been able to get any food or see anything since Miles was at risk and there was a lot to be discussed. I resulted in ordering food to the apartment which would get to my place at 9:30, roughly thirty minutes after we got to my place. The briefing mostly consisted of filling me in on the mission and what was coming next. They hadn't explaining to me what they were looking on the drive before, so they had to fill me in. Miles was forced to sit alone in the kitchen area during that long meeting. The kitchen was all show though and only had coffee, water and the lunches people brought themselves. Then, Miles was questioned, and he had to say everything he knew. They weren't interested in what he knew about Hazel since we already knew that. So that didn't last long because he knew nothing. After being forced to stay there for hours Miles was now angry with me again. Or not again, I don't think he ever stopped being angry. I grabbed my keys from my bag and unlocked my door. I hadn't been in London in over three months.
We walked into the apartment and a wave of loneliness engulfed me. I forgot how lonely it was here, and everywhere I lived. The main room was dark since the sun had set so I turned on the lights. The room lit up and I scanned around at the kitchen counter and how empty everything was. Since I moved around so much, I didn't keep much at each of my apartments. Miles walked straight to the wall with large windows parallel to the front door. He leaned his forehead against the class.
"This is so nice." He whispered, which caused the glass to fog up. I walked over to stand beside him. For the countless hours I spent in the basement I had thought about what I had to do with Miles. I just needed to talk first. This could easily be our last night together.
"We should talk." I whispered and looked over at him. He kept his gaze on the passing cars a few stories below.
"I am really tired. I think we should talk tomorrow. I can't think properly right now. I just want to eat dinner and go to bed." He whispered and finally moved his eyes to look at me. I sighed and nodded. I just wanted to talk now. I wanted to know what the future held. I figured he wanted to be alone, so I left him at the window to go shower.
The food arrived on time, so I set it out on the counter and got out some plates for us. I didn't know if he wanted to eat together but it seemed like a hassle to eat separately. We awkwardly ate in silence; the smacking of his mouth rang in my ear. His eating had never annoyed me but with the quiet of the room I was getting irritated.
"Can I borrow some clothes and shower?" Miles asked, once he finished his meal. I nodded, "my closet is in my room. It is pretty obvious it's a closet."

Miles slept in the guest room while I stayed in my room. I knew he wasn't going to want to share the bed with me, but it still felt sad and lonely when he tried to sleep on the couch, and I had to show him the guest room. When I left my room in the morning Miles hadn't woken up yet, as he always slept in, so I decided to go on my daily morning run. The main thing I missed about London was jogging through Hyde Park, so I was excited to get to do that this morning. I hoped Joshua and Paul, security guards that worked for the organization that lived in my building, were in town so I could get them to make sure no one tries to kidnap Miles, or in case he tried to bolt. I walked over to the marble countertop and grabbed my cellphone which sat on top. I grabbed it and texted both Joshua and Paul seeing if they were around. I really hoped so, I knew I wouldn't be in London long, so I needed to get my run in while I was here. With Miles being hunted I wouldn't be surprised if Carolina wanted us to leave the city or even country as soon as we could. That being said she could request that Miles is given to them. He doesn't know that much. We would have to relocate our headquarters here but that would be easy since they are so small. Paul answered my text immediately saying he was in the building and he would guard my apartment, so I changed into my athletic wear and hit the park.
