Chapter 3_Part3

Akemi made it back just in time for the motive.

"AAAAAALRIGHT STUDENTS!" The flashing bear yelled once Akemi entered the cafeteria. Monokuma wasn't in the room, but over the loudspeaker, "Because of the unique nature of the locations of our students this fine morning, I'll keep this brief,"

Slips of paper flew down from the ceiling, landing perfectly in everyone's hands. Akemi opened his dirty-looking one and read the sloppily written text.

'Keep chasing that one special person! You'll get them eventually! Signed, K. S.'

'What kind of advice is that?' Akemi thought. He pocketed his paper, seeing similar responses from the rest of the class.

"What you hold in your incredible little hands is a piece of advice from a former star of Danganronpa. By tomorrow, you must figure out who it's from, or kill one of your fellow classmates! A special surprise to anyone who can survive to the trial AND figure out who's tellin' em what for!" The loudspeaker clicked off, and people started talking again.

Akemi decided to sit by Koto, who had a notebook out in front of him. He was turned towards Sayori, who was talking to him.

"Try spelling it out on my palm," She said, "One word at a time. Tap my thumb if I get it wrong, and tap my... nose if I get it right!" She giggled, pulling a smile from Koto.

The tall boy put his thumb, index, and pinky fingers out, putting the other two down, and pressed his caramel hand into the pale girl's palm.

"Hmm," She said, "That's not a letter, is it?" Sayori titled her head, and Koto tapped her nose to signify that she was right. She smiled, "Thumb... Pointer... Pinky... Oh! 'I love you?'" She deciphered. Koto blushed and tapped her nose again. The blind girl giggled, her face flushing.

"I'm sorry, am I interrupting?" Akemi asked as not rude as possible. He clearly startled the couple. Koto turned around in his chair, Sayori didn't move. The light purple-haired boy shook his head respectfully. His eye then lit up with an epiphany. He pointed to his notebook and grabbed a pen.

'Do you mind being the "middle-man" so to speak, of our conversation, Akemi? Not to trouble you, I really would love nothing more than to talk to her myself.'

"Oh, not at all," He replied, "But first, what did you guys get on your cards?"

"Cards?" Sayori asked. Koto started writing.

"Yeah, we just got these handwritten notes as a motive," Akemi explained. Koto tapped his notebook. Akemi leaned over and read aloud, "'Please read Sayori's note for her'. Sure thing,"

The engineer picked up Sayori's white and red decorated note and read:

'When in doubt, pan spray is your best friend~! T.H.'

"That's a valid perspective," Sayori replied, "But it's better to use butter or margarine,"

"'And mine, Akemi,'" The brunette read aloud again. Akemi then picked up the paper in front of Koto. It was dark purple and half splattered with pink paint, and the handwriting was shaky.

'The work is only as good as the creator, T.F'

"That makes a surprising amount of sense, huh?" Akemi said playfully. Koto nodded. Akemi then sighed, "A shame though, I don't really know anything about Danganronpa. Besides the fact, it was really popular a few years ago," The author next to him scribbled another note down.

'Perhaps Taro could guess,' He wrote, 'If I recall correctly, he used to be a fan,'

"You're right," Akemi replied, "I guess I should go back and talk to him," Sayori and Koto both nodded. Akemi could tell they wanted him out of their conversation. He sighed and stood, "Well I guess I'll go do that, seeya," He waved and walked back to the nurse's office.
