Chapter 3_Trial Part 2

"So, can we talk bruising?" Akemi said, trying to break up the fighting, "Yutio pointed it out at the scene, so I think we should get right to it,"

"Actually, Akemi," Taro said, "I think we should start with the fabric. Just 'cause I know I'll forget if I don't say it right now," Akemi nodded.

"Oh, sure. What'd you find Taro?" The engineer asked. Taro pulled something out of his back pocket. It was a whole ass pillowcase.

"So, when I saw the body, I could immediately tell what fabric it was 'cause both of my sisters slept with satin pillowcases," He started, "Both black too, it was a weird thing. So I checked both of their dorms, and found the same pillowcase in each, meaning top suspects were Daichi and Usagi," He then pulled the pillowcase open, revealing bits cut out "As it turns out, the killer took fabric from Osoro's only, meaning the killer was probably less acquainted with Ahaki... Or they're Daichi,"

"Okay, so it could be literally anyone," Usagi said, "Not to speak ill of the dead or whatever, but Ahaki was a bitch and none of us knew her well," Taro chuckled a little.

"No don't worry, you can't dirty her memory any more than she did," He studied the pillowcase, "So uh, Daichi? You've got an alibi, right?" Daichi's face was seemingly flushed, and she fidgeted nervously.

"Uh... Y-yeah..." Daichi pointed to Orochi, "That's my alibi,"

"Really? Where were you guys?" Haru asked rather innocently. Daichi raised a brow at him but continued anyway.

"In his room," She said bluntly.

"...Well? How long? What were you doing? Did you go anywhere else? C'mon man we need more info than that," Usagi pressed. Daichi glared.

"From the end of breakfast to the discovery, when Akemi came and got us," Daichi explained with a clearly agitated tone.

"Doing?"

"..." Daichi was quiet for a while, her face beet red. She pulled at the bottom of her hoodie uncomfortably. Usagi repeated herself.

"Daichi come on, what were you doing?"

"Each other okay!?" Daichi blurted out. Orochi also blushed, avoiding eye contact with everyone who looked his way.

"Oh..." Akemi said, without thinking. Then, he thought about it, "Oh. OH. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry--"

"It's fine, just shut up," Orochi cut him off. There was silence, 'til everyone was redirected by Koto.

"So the fabric came from Osoro's room, so the blackened must've known her well enough to know about her pillowcase. Also, this has just come to me, the blackened had to have been fairly strong since Tatsuya was the ultimate delinquent and all," The author explained, "Or conversely, a hypothesis of mine will re-broaden the walls of this case,"

"What hypothesis?" Akemi asked.

"That Delinquent may not be Tatsuya's real talent,"

There were gasps, but one reaction stuck out.

"Oh, why don't you prove it asshole,"

Akemi's head swerved in the new voice's direction. Well, not new, but such a tone had never been used in tune with that voice.

"T-T-Touro?" Yutio asked, "Wh-what are y-you t-t-t-talking about?"

"I mean, what are you even saying? What gives you the idea that Suya was faking it?" Touro said, returning to a kinder state.

"The fact that you're faking it too," Koto replied.

"What?" Touro said. Koto straightened his posture, it seemed like he was really about to let the supposed Lawyer have it.

"Did it peg anyone else as strange that the "Delinquent" among us never laid a hand on anybody?" He started. Usagi whispered a comment.

"I'll bet it pegged Orochi..." Taro and Haru both bit their lips and glanced away, hiding laughter.

"I HEARD THAT!" Daichi said, loudly. Koto rolled his eyes and continued.

"...The only person that has purposefully harmed another, is Touro. The supposed Ultimate Lawyer," He paused, presumably for dramatic effect, "If I may draw your attention to another moment, during the second motive. Tatsuya provoked Monokuma with a surprising knowledge of a subject, knowledge that a Delinquent most likely would have disregarded. But something that a Lawyer would keep in mind," The class turned to Touro, who was desperately searching for an excuse. Alas, he found none.

"...Fine. Fine! So we switched talents! Is that so bad!?" Touro exclaimed.

"But why?" Akemi asked. Touro facepalmed.

"Because," He started, his tone dark, "It seemed a little more believable, that such an easy-to-set-off guy would be a Delinquent, and his more color in the lines older brother is the Lawyer. Makes more sense, gains more trust,"

"...Well... I guess that makes sense," Akemi said. Koto nodded.

"Exactly. Which means that now," He looked up at a certain someone, "Hashido isn't out of the picture,"

"Awww whaddya mean, Koto~?" Hashido asked.

"I mean, I have a feeling that you may be our killer, Hashido,"

"Oh wow. I slight you once and now you're accusing me. You better have some goddamn evidence you stupid poetaster," The small teen said quickly. Koto raised a brow.

"Poetaster? Really?" As the two bickered a bit, Akemi tried to put together a narrative in his head.

Could Hashido have done that to Tatsuya? Sure he didn't require much strength... And how does Sayori fit into it?

This isn't making sense...
