"Emi... Akemi... AKEMI!"
"Hm?" Akemi shook himself from his dazed state, looking to the user of the voice.
"Fucken Christ! We're gonna hafta tape a damn alarm to your ears," Orochi. The green-haired boy was lecturing Akemi about disassociating. That's so him... The engineer thought. He wished it could stay like that, Orochi telling him off for stupid things, but deep down he knew it couldn't.
"If you guys are done," Taro started, "I've got the file," Orochi turned to the tall brunette.
"Great, let's hear it,"
"Found in the second-floor playground, seemingly strangled with a swing chain and gagged with wood chips, Touro Watanabe's cause of death is listed as Morphine Poisoning. And... that's it," Taro read the file, his face twisting with confusion at the end.
"Whaddya mean that's it?" Daichi asked. Taro turned his Monopad to show her.
"I mean, besides the visible injuries, that's all it says. No time of death or anything," He replied.
"Th-that's weird..." Yutio said. Taro nodded.
"Definitely,"
"So," Orochi started, "Either we've got a really easy case on our hands, or Monokuma's screwing us in the ass,"
"Hey, guys!" Haru yelled, "I found something!" Akemi stood and followed the rest of his classmates to the Rip-Off.
"What's up Haru?" He asked. Haru put his hand out, it was a vial. Daichi took the vial and brought it close to her nose, taking a quick whiff.
"It almost smells like... vinegar," She said. Orochi nodded.
"Makes sense, that's what morphine smells like. Oi, Haru," He said.
"Yeah?" Haru replied. Orochi gestured to the ground.
"Where'd you find this?" He asked. The light-haired boy crouched and pointed to a spot on the wood-chipped ground.
"About here, why?"
"I see..." Orochi tapped his chin, pondering something, "I think... this may have been a suicide,"
"A s-s-suicide?" Yutio stuttered out. Orochi nodded.
"Based on the evidence, yeah," He said, "I'll explain more at the trial,"
"SPEAKING OF WHI--"
"Yeah yeah, we're going!" Daichi interrupted.
