Chapter 3_Part 10

"What the hell was that?" Usagi asked. The entirety of the class stood baffled.

"I..." Koto's machine voice was faint, somewhat forlorn even, "I apologize, I should have said something... Or done something..."

"What do you mean, Koto?" Akemi asked. He probably could've guessed the answer, but he thought it would be better to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. Kotoba was quiet for a moment, but eventually shook his aching head and nodded, beginning to type.

"Hashido and I grew up together," He began, "My aunt adopted him when we were both about three. And we were as close as it gets. See, my aunt was a star of sorts. Her bright personality and open understanding of the world made her a very pleasant person to live with. However, she had her oddities, as everyone does. For instance, she never allowed Hashido to address her as 'Mom', rather having him call her 'Aunt Mina', as I did. She told me that it was to make us feel like we should be close as brothers.

"As I said before, she was very bright. Mina homeschooled Hashido, while I went to public school. One day around the age of nine, when I was old enough to understand what was happening, I came down with a flu of sorts. I stayed with them for the day. And to spare the particularly gut-wrenching details, I caught one of my most idolized family members molesting my dear sibling-like cousin. I told adults, and Mina was taken to trial. Unfortunately, she won the case. Because I..." He paused. Then proceeded, "I was unable to testify correctly due to anxiety, and twisted the story. Later on that very same week, after Mina became a star of Hashido assaulted me. Not in a sexual way mind you, but..." Koto gestured to his injured eye, "But in a way that involved a very sharp screwdriver. And I'm afraid Hashido still doesn't forgive me,"

"Jesus Christ..." Taro whispered. Yutio clutched his hand.

"So that's why you went mute, huh?" Orochi asked. Koto looked up with a sad smile and nodded. Orochi's hands tightened into fists, "That's messed up but... It doesn't justify Hashido killing anyone!"

"Of course not," Koto continued writing, "But I cannot help but feel somewhat guilty for the deaths of our friends, knowing that I pushed him to it,"

"No, you didn't," Taro objected, "Monokuma did. The motive did. It's not your fault, Koto," The author smiled at the witch.

"You're probably right," He said.

"Y'know, this is cute and all but we're not done here!" Monokuma said, "You still have to guess who you got your notes from!"

"Oh... Yeah," Akemi said. Orochi spoke up.

"Guess I'll go first," he pulled a paper out of his jacket pocket, "Mines signed K. S., I'm guessing Kazuichi Souda?"

"NOPE!"

"K. I...." Haru said, "Is that... Ishimaru?"

"ALSO WRONG!"

"Mine's Gundham Tanaka," Taro said.

"M-m-mine's G-Gokuhara," Yutio said.

"Both correct!"

"Mine's Ishimaru, isn't it?" Daichi asked.

"Yep!"

"Kazuichi Souda," Akemi said.

"Yuppers!"

"M. O... I forget his name... The Yakuza guy?" Touro asked.

"Close, but no!"

"Toko Fukawa," Koto wrote.

"Yes yes yes!"

"Fuck what's her name," Usagi said, "...Oh! Asahina!"

"NOPE! Do you even see the initials?"

"What!? T. C.... I don't know who that is!"

"Sucks to suck I guess!" The flashing bear laughed a bit, "Those of you who got it correct will find a piece of paper in your dorm later, write the name of a classmate when you get it!"

And with that, Akemi went back to his dorm, writing a name on the paper, and promptly going to sleep.

'Luci Minara'
