-Chapter 1_Part 4-
The comedian pulled him through the halls quickly, the sound of most everyone else's footsteps followed them. Once the bathroom came into sight, she let go of him, letting him walk in with her just behind.
The scene was sickening.
There on the floor by the sink was someone that Akemi hadn't met yet. They had long, brown hair, and their long-sleeved green sweater was lifted just enough to see what Akemi sincerely hoped wasn't their underwear.
The corpse's face was drenched in water, probably from the still flowing sink. The water was starting to get close to the door. There was a small trail of blood coming from their mouth, and even more coming from the wound in their stomach. In which, a whole broom handle was stabbed through. The blood flowing from the body was staining the water.
Akemi felt his stomach churn. He froze, his eyes catching on the trash can by the sink. He didn't think he'd throw up, but if he did he knew where to go.
"Uh oh..." A voice came in from behind Akemi, "Looks like it's Anon-chan... What a bother~" It was Hashido. Akemi took a deep breath and turned around.
"J-Just a warning," He started shakily, addressing the rest of his classmates, "Th-There's a lot of blood in there..."
"...Who is it?" A scratchy voice asked from the back of the crowding students. Akemi recognized it as Taro.
"It's Anon-chan~," Hashido said, skipping out of the bathroom and tracking water on the gray tiles of the hallway, "It's a shame, Akemi didn't even get to meet her,"
"Oh shut up ya creepy little punk," Tatsuya said, balling his hands to a fist. Touro put a hand on his shoulder, but the younger just shoved it off with a glare.
"Whatever you say~..." Hashido replied, looking the delinquent up and down, "...By the way, you don't work out much, do you?" They said. Tatsuya snapped his head up.
"What's that supposed to mean!?" He yelled, being held back by his older brother.
"Hitting him isn't gonna make it any better, Suya," They tried to calm the younger, but just ended up getting shoved.
"Shut it Touro!" He glared at the tiny observer, huffing angrily and storming off. Hashido giggled and skipped away, twirling his umbrella.
Akemi calmed himself down and let everyone else into the bathroom to see. While they gazed at the corpse, Monokuma appeared.
"Wow, that was pretty quick, even for you jerk-offs," He said.
"What do you want?" Orochi asked the rude bear. Monokuma said nothing, just handed out some tablet-looking things.
"I've decided not to explain anything to you guys until I get an apology from that creepy one who interrupted me today, so you can figure it out!" He said, disappearing once everyone had a tablet.
"The Monokuma File?" Orochi read, turning his tablet on. He skimmed through it, rolling his bright green eyes, "It seems to have all the information on the murder, well that's useless to me," He said, loudly. Akemi looked at him, confused.
"What do you mean, useless?" He asked. Orochi rolled his eyes again, sneering under his snake mask.
"I mean useless. Not helpful in any way. Muda, even. I'm not investigating shit. I'm way above playing detective, and I'm gonna survive this stupid game no matter what! There's no rules against me not helpin' either, so I choose not to!" He said, stomping to draw attention to the bright green platforms adorning his feet.
"I'm with numb-nuts over there, except I'm the only one who's actually going to survive," Daichi proclaimed. Usagi piped up.
"Uh, you can't go. You were gone during the time of the murder, you're the prime suspect!" The field hockey star yelled. Daichi adjusted her mask.
"Mmm, look at this! Do you see it? Yeah, this right here," She held out her hand, there was nothing in it, "It's all the fucks I don't give!" And with that, she stormed away as well, stomping her white Demonia's the same way Orochi did.
"Oh boy, we're losing our investigatees," Osoro said worriedly. Apparently, Ahaki was losing her patience as well, though she hid it very well.
"Just to make things a bit easier," She said, her voice was soft and high-pitched, "If you are not planning on helping the investigation, please leave now and do not make a scene," She held her hands in a prayer gesture. Meanwhile, Usagi, Yutio, Sayori, and Haru started walking away, "Ah, so just four detectives today,"
"Wait, four?" Akemi asked, "Ahaki you're not gonna help?"
"Oh no," She said, "I am not fit for this kind of work, but I shall be praying for you! The Lord smiles upon you, Akemi Takahashi," Ahaki then began walking away with the others. Akemi caught Taro's face twist slightly with discomfort as his sister walked away.
"Guess it's just us, huh?" Luci said, "Me, You, Taro, Touro, Osoro, and Koto! Whaddya know, that rhymed," Akemi nodded with uncertainty. Luci noticed and took him by the shoulders, looking down at him with a confident look, "Don't fret Amnesia-kemi! I'm sure we've got this!" The engineer nodded, looking at the others who stayed to help.
"Yeah, definitely," He said. He then opened his Monokuma File and began to read, ready to investigate.
The first murder... And hopefully the last.
