Pokemon is something I love a lot, but the series has been pretty bad recently. From the rocket ball machine to Goh's entire character, there's a lot needed to be fixed.
Fear not however, cause I am here to fix it!
Ash has been training for the world championships, and has currently reached rank 800. He is in a battle against a trainer with a Cradily.
"I know we may be at a type disadvantage, but we can turn that disadvantage into a win! Sobble, water gun!" Sobble shot a water gun at Cradily, but it had the storm drain ability, so it absorbed water gun. "Cradily, use ancient power!" Cradily hit Sobble with it's ancient power, which also boosted it's power. Ash was already worried. "Sobble, don't give up! Use bind!" Sobble tried using bind on Cradily, but couldn't. "I don't have time for this. Cradily, mega drain!" Cradily drained Sobble's energy, and therefore defeated it. "Sobble is unable to battle, Cradily is the winner!" Ash's rank dropped down to 835.
"Ugh...that's the second battle in a row I lost with it..." Ash was annoyed about his loss. "Sobble, return."
Back at Cerise park...
Sobble was crying a lot more than it was before. It previously lost to an Armaldo before Cradily, for the same reason: it couldn't hit it due to it being too scared. "Sobble, you can't be doing this! I can't use you in battle if you're not going to do anything!" Ash yelled at it. It started crying even more and ran off.
"Ash, don't you think that was a little harsh?" Chloe asked him. "Yeah, and you say I was treating my Pokemon horribly!" Goh added. Ash immediately realized what he did wrong. "You're right guys! I'm sorry for that, I know that was harsh...it's just, Sobble's been doing not so well despite previously taking down a Charmeleon, I wonder why it's been so afraid?" Ash explained.
"Sobble are very timid Pokemon by nature. They cry a lot and get scared easily. However, their trainers can make them more confident, and be able to fight. but if they have a bad experience, they go back to that state of being afraid of everything." Professor Cerise explained. "Of course! That explains a lot! The reason why Sobble's been so timid is because of Aerodactyl! When Aerodactyl was restored, it got hit hard by a thunder fang, which also paralyzed it. Which must've been what has caused Sobble to go back to it's timid state!" Ash realized.
"That would make sense! In fact, I noticed while observing the behavior of the Pokemon at cerise park, Sobble's been hiding whenever Aerodactyl goes near where it is!" Professor Cerise added. "So what are you going to do about it?" Goh and Chloe asked Ash. "Oh I have just the idea! Professor cerise, could you get tickets to Kalos please?"
Later...
"So where are we headed Ash?" Goh asks. "You'll see!" Ash was holding Sobble. "I want you to meet a special someone," He told Sobble. "See, in the Kalos region, I had so many amazing adventures. I met Clemont, the Lumiose city gym leader, Bonnie, his funny younger sister, and of course, reunited with Serena, since we hadn't seen each other since that one day in summer camp. And the Pokemon of mine! You already met Talonflame, Hawlucha, and Noivern, and you'll meet another one once we arrive in Kalos. But Greninja...me and Greninja formed a bond so close, we were able to reach new heights never before seen! And me and my team made it farther than we ever did before, tying with Alain for the Kalos league victory, and saved the world alongside all of our friends and rivals!" Ash explained. "Wow, Ash! You really have gone on amazing adventures!" Goh exclaimed.
"We are now arriving in Lumiose station." The captain announced. "I'll tell you the rest another time." Ash told them. Ash called out Dragonite, who flew them to the wetlands. The wetlands were Goodra's home. He wanted Sobble to meet Goodra because Goodra was similar to Sobble when it was a Goomy.
"Sobble, I'd like you to meet my Pokemon Goodra. It was one of my friends in Kalos, and got me through one of my toughest gym battles!" Ash told Sobble.

Sobble was amazed at the sight of Goodra. Goodra was being friendly like usual and hugged Sobble. Dragonite, of course, joined in the hugging of Sobble too. "Goodra sure is amazing, huh? Well the truth is, it wasn't always like this. It used to be a tiny Goomy, and it wasn't that strong either. But with us caring for each other, and forming a bond with one another, we were able to grow stronger and stronger together." Sobble seemed amazed.
Goh was watching Ash from the background. "So forming a bond with your Pokemon...of course! That's what I've been missing! That's why he said I don't care for my Pokemon! It all makes sense now!" Goh finally realized it. "Cubone and Raichu, come on out!" Goh sent out his Cubone and his Raichu. They were both happy to be in a new place. Even Raboot smiled. "Guys, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I haven't been doing much with you guys. I promised to be your friends, but I haven't really done my part. Now! Let's train together and catch some Pokemon together!" His Pokemon all celebrated.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a giant creepy red vine appeared out of the ground! "Ash! What's that? What's going on?!" Goh asked, terrified. "It can't be...it's one of team flare's red vines! But I thought by now, Greninja destroyed them all!" Goodra was shocked by the sight of it too, as if it hadn't seen one in a long time.
"Well we can't just stand by and watch! Raboot, ember! Cubone, bone club! Raichu, thunder punch!" Goh commanded his Pokemon to use. Their attacks barely fazed it, however.
The vine then tried to attack Ash. Ash quickly went to protect Sobble. "Sobble! I promise I'll always protect you!" He declared. The vine was beating him ferociously, yet he wouldn't let up.
Then, fortunately, they could all see a tall, blue figure jump out and throw a star made out of water, which destroyed the vine! Ash knew exactly who it was. It was Greninja! "Greninja! I've missed you! Even now, I still haven't forgotten, our hearts are forever connected!" Ash was excited to see his Pokemon again. Greninja was happy to see it's old trainer too.
"Greninja...I have a favor to ask you. See, Sobble has a lot of potential, but it can't draw out it's strength yet. Could you help me train it?" Ash asked his Pokemon. Greninja seemed hesitant for a second, but it nodded in agreement.
And so, in an unexpected turn of events, Greninja has reappeared to help Ash and Sobble! How will it's training help Sobble? Find out, as the journey continues!
