Nicole POV
It was my day off and two days since I took over as sheriff, things had gone smoothly for the last few days. Waverly decided to have Robin and Jeremy over for dinner and drinks. Waverly was cooking as I went to get the door. "Hello!" Robin greeted.
"Hey!" I said. "Come on in!"
"Welcome! Hi!" Waverly greeted as I closed the door.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Ooh, it's cold outside!" She said.
"I know!" Jeremy said.
"How are you?" Waverly asked.
"Yeah. I got bit." Robin answered. I looked confused.
"You got bit?" I asked.
"He got a bit cold... He got a bit cold on his rounds." Jeremy interrupted.
"Poor Robin, come with me. Yeah." Waverly pulled Robin through to the kitchen.
"OK, uh, take care of him!" Jeremy said.
"Hey, lemme grab your coat." I said taking Jeremy's coat.
"Uh, oh, yes. Sure." He said shaking his coat of his arms.
"Oh. OK. What up? What app? Uh, any apps? You making any appetizers?" Jeremy said nervously.
"Uh, wow. You're really nervous. Jeremy it's just dinner. It's mostly drinks." I said trying to get him to relax.
Yeah, but you... You only get crowned sheriff once. Am I right? Do you get a crown? Is... Is there a crown? That would be great." He said still nervous.
"Hey, have you heard from Wynonna at all?" I asked.
"No." He said nervously. I had gotten both of us a beer. Things were ok for a few minutes and Jeremy headed to the bathroom.
"Hey baby." Waverly called and I headed into the kitchen. "Hey can you get the carrots cut up please."
"Of course." I said. I picked up the knife and started cutting the carrots and sticking them in the boiling water to cook.
I took some bread through to the table. A nervous Jeremy came through. "So, uh, he's out there, he's minding his own business."
"Okay, okay, just slow down, take it easy, okay." I said trying to calm him.
"Yeah, I would, but now I'm freaking out at the giant ring sticking out of your biscuit." Jeremy pointed to the large ring. It dropped and I dropped to her knee to pick it up.
Waverly came through and said. "Guys." She saw me with a ring. "Oh, my God. Oh, my God, this is happening!"
"Yes!" Jeremy said getting excited.
"I feel dizzy!" Waverly excitedly.
"Me too! Hey, I better be your Bae of Honour." Jeremy butted in.
"Of course." Waverly told him.
"This is Bulshar's ring." I said finally.
"Oh." Waverly said disappointedly.
"I threw this away." I said finally getting back up.
"Yeah, and I locked it away just today!" Jeremy said.
"You had it?" I asked.
"Yeah, Wynonna gave it to me." He replied. "She got it from Doc. Stupid Doc."
"Guys, something's really, really wrong with Robin." Waverly told them both.
"I mean, he probably just has meet-the-parents jitters." Jeremy said trying to explain Robin.
