Y/N POV:

"hi billie baby." i say, wrapping my arms around her. she smiles and wraps her hands around my neck.

"hi, angel. what's up?" billie asks and kisses my forehead.

"what do you wanna do today?" billie thinks for a minute and then smiles.

"how about i give you my card and you can go to the mall. get whatever you'd like, baby." i give billie an unsure look.

"are you sure, baby. i don't wanna spend your money." billie raises her eyebrow.

"mama, you know damn well i can buy the whole mall. now go. bye. i love you." she hands me her card and my keys and pushes me out the door. before i could say i love you back, the door is already closed. well that was weird. i get in my car and turn up the music as i drive to the mall.

i don't know what that was about. it seemed like she was kind of in a rush or something. i'm not complaining tho, i've been needing some new clothes.

i walk into the mall and it's not too crowded since it's a weekday, thank god. i walk into victora's secret first and see this black lace bra and matching panties. (god i hate that word sm) i pick it up and hold it up in front of me. i think billie would really like this. i go up to the registers and pay for it.

i walk around the mall a little bit and spot finish line (it's a shoe store if you didn't know). i walk in and see these nike blazers i've really been wanting. i pick up the box that's in my size and go pay for it. i feel bad for spending billie's money but she also just handed me her credit card and told me to get whatever i wanted.

BILLIES POV:

the reason i told y/n to go to the mall today was because i wanna do a little prank on her. me and y/n have a youtube channel and we haven't pranked each other in a while. so, i don't think she'll suspect anything. i set up the camera on the tripod and put it on the table in the living room. i sit on the couch and press record.

"hi guys, i know we haven't done a prank in a while so i decided to do one. as you can probably see from the title i'm gonna be fake proposing to y/n with this ring pop." i hold up a blue ring pop so the camera can see it.

"y/n is at the mall right now because i may or may not have handed her my credit card and shoved her out the door." i say, laughing.

"i'm about to head out to go grab some flowers, candles, and flower petals to make it more believable. y/n shouldn't be back for a while so i got some time to set everything up. i'll see you guys when i'm at the store." i say to the camera and grab it, turning it off. i grab my car keys and head out to my car. i put the camera in the passenger seat and drive to the store.

once i get to the store, i grab the camera and walk in. i grab flowers, flower petals, and tiny candles. (yk what i mean?) i go up to the register and pay for all of it. i go out to the car and set up the camera on the dashboard, turning it on.

"okay guys, i was gonna record in the store but i'm not tryna get in trouble. i got flowers, flower petals, and of course these tiny candles." i say holding them up. i turn the camera off and drive home.

i get home and set up the camera on the table in the same spot, turning it on.

"i'm back home and now it's time to set up. i'm kinda nervous because i don't know how she's gonna react when i tell her it's a prank. she'll either flip out or laugh it off. i'm gonna set up now and i'll show you guys when i'm done." i turn off the camera.

i go grab the flower petals and lay them on the floor from the front door leading to our bedroom upstairs. i set the tiny candles beside the petals making a trail and lit each one up. i grab the camera and turn it around.

"here's what it looks like all set up. i think i did a very good job." i turn the camera back around and wink.

i hear my phone go off and i see a text from y/n saying she's on her way home.

"y/n just texted me saying she's on her way so i gotta hide you guys." i place the camera down on the desk in our bedroom and wrapped a shirt around it but not covering the lens. i open the wrapper to the ring pop and leave it open, not taking out the ring pop.

i hear y/n walk in the door and walk up the stairs. i look at the camera one more time to see if it's recording, it is. y/n walks into the room and covers her mouth.

"billie, what is all this?" she walks up to me and i take her hands, holding them. i can see she's starting to tear up.

"baby, ever since you've came into my life it's been amazing. you always know how to make me happy. there is never a bad day with you. i have no idea what i would do without you. so, y/n..." i let go of her hands and reach in my pocket for the ring pop. i take off the wrapper and get on one knee, holding the ring pop off.

"will you marry me?" i say and she runs into my arms, making me fall over. she kisses all over my face and i giggle.

"yes yes yes." she yells. she pulls away and i put the ring pop on her finger. she smiles and kisses my lips passionately. i pull away, remembering we're on camera and we stand up.

"um, baby i need to tell you something." i say nervously.

"what is it, bil?" she smiles ear to ear at me. fuck, i feel so bad.

"it's a prank!" i yell and laugh. her smile drops and a tear falls down her face.

"are you serious?" she yells, i nod slowly. she takes the ring pop off and throws it at me.

"fuck you, billie. why the fuck would you do this?" she yells at me and points her hands towards the flower petals and candles.

"i'm sorry, baby. i thought it would be a good prank." i say back softly. she laughs and i look at her confused.

"a good prank? billie, we've been together three years and you do a proposal prank. i thought you actually wanted to marry me." she yells, her voice cracking at the end. i walk up to her and pull her into me. she sobs into me chest and i stroke her hair.

"angel, i didn't mean to make you this upset. i feel so bad. i'm so so sorry, baby." her sobs now are quiet cries.

"i do wanna marry you, princess. i'm just waiting for the perfect time to do it." i say softly. she brings her head up from my chest and looks up at me.

"you wanna marry me?" she asks and i nod.

"of course i do, beautiful. who wouldn't wanna marry you. you're the most gorgeous, smart, and kind girl i know. and i'm so so lucky to have you." she smiles and hugs me tightly. i lean down to kiss her and she kisses back passionately. i pull away and lean down so i'm right next to her ear.

"how about i show you how sorry i am?" i rasp in her ear.
