this is my first story,So I'm sorry if updates come slow or there are any grammar mistakes :) (I'll probably edit the chapter if there is any big ones)
keep in mind I am using the characters,Not the real people,they will act like the character and...
Y/n and Dream walked to their usual spot under a large oak tree, They brought some books and tea, Sitting down on an old cloth and talking about what Dream was up to while he was away fighting for the kingdom
He was seen as a 'Top figure' in L'Manburg, you can always catch people looking at him interestingly and children looking up at him in amazement while they walk together, wondering why he was always with someone seen as lower class to him
He obviously didn't care what people thought of this 'unusual friendship', he still talked to his best friend at every chance he got.
"Oh, Y/n, guess what?"
"hmmm?"
They hummed while reading an old book their father gave them, slightly tilting their head up
"The king invited me, other soldiers and nobles to a party, a masquerade of sorts, and I was wondering if you'd like to go with me?"
They perked up at him instantly and dropped their book into their lap
"Really!? Yes Dream of course! But, i don't really have any fancy or noble clothes.."
he laughed a little and they nudged his side
"It's okay Y/n, I knew you were going to say yes so I managed to get you some outfits, you can keep the ones you don't choose"
Y/n rolled their eyes and looked at his hands, beautiful bundles of colourful and detailed clothes that he had passed over to them
"Oh Dream, you really didn't have to do this for me..seriously, thank you so much!"
They kissed his cheek, leaving him flustered and took the outfits, Raising them up and awed at the details of each one.

"It's hours away, So we have a lot of time left"
He held out his hand after getting up, Y/n took it happily as they walked all through the town.
I keep seeing random shadow figures...oh god what if I'm being haunted.. No,no probably just people..Ghosts don't exist.
Y/n dismissed the uneasy feeling growing in the pit of their stomach, slightly tightening their grip on Dreams arm.
Time skip - 2 hours later
"Y/n! You need to start getting ready, Dream will be here for you soon!"
Philza shouted up to their room as they looked at the beautiful outfits in front of them, wondering what one to pick
