Wang He Di checked Shen Yue's car for the last time. He had finished fixing it just that afternoon. He would never tell her, but he had solved other small problems that Yue was not aware of, besides the timing belt. He was looking forward to the girl coming home from work to tell her the good news. As soon as he saw her arrive in front of their building, he rushed out of the workshop and joined her. "Cutie! Your car is ready!" he announced all in one breath. He didn't even know why he was so excited. "Really?!" "Yes! Come and see!" Shen Yue followed him into the garage and as soon as she started her car, a beaming smile lit up her face. "Thank you!" she exclaimed, turning her bright eyes on Dylan. "You're welcome! Come on, take your baby home" he replied with affection. "Sure! But first tell me the price". "Price? What price?" he asked, pretending to be confused. "Of your work, you fool!" Yue laughed. "Oh! But there is no price!" "Wang He Di. Come on, tell me." "I'm serious, there is no price. Now go, I still have a lot of work." Shen Yue didn't know what to do. It had to be a joke. Dylan laughed at her seeing her flinch. "It's a gift, okay?" he smiled at her. "No! These were not the agreements!" Yue got angry. Wang He Di reached down to reach her height and poked her nose. "Tiger, I don't accept money from you." He was serious, but there was sweetness in his eyes. "Why not?! You worked so hard!" Yue complained. She couldn't believe that this boy could be so crazy that he wanted absolutely nothing in return after spending hours trying to fix a car as old as hers. "Because you're my favorite neighbor" Dylan replied simply. Shen Yue tried to get him to accept the money he was owed, but in vain. "Ok. Do you have plans tonight?" she asked him all of a sudden, tired of fighting his stubbornness. Dylan had plans, in fact. He was supposed to go out with another speed date girl that night. But he knew well that that was a crucial question. It was THE question. Many of his " hot nights" had begun that way. Not that he expected a hot night with Yue, but... Better not let that opportunity slip away. "Absolutely not" he winked. "So get dressed up and I'll see you in two hours. I'll take you to dinner" Shen Yue said, in the tone of someone who doesn't accept replies. Without waiting for an answer, she started her car again and took it out of the garage. Before leaving, however, she poked her head out the window and yelled at Dylan: "Get that idiot grin off your face!" Wang He Di burst out laughing and blew her a kiss from afar, which she pretended to catch and throw away.

On the way to the restaurant, Wang He Di couldn't take his eyes off Shen Yue. By now he was used to seeing her with huge colorful sweatshirts and comfortable clothes... So that night she was a real vision.

He suddenly remembered the leather dress she was wearing the night he met her on the speed date and he swallowed. "Can you stop staring at me?" snorted Yue, keeping her eyes fixed on the road. She had insisted that she be the driver… She had missed her little car terribly. "I'm not staring at you, I'm admiring you." "Whatever you are doing, stop it." Dylan grinned and tried to pay attention to the city lights outside the window. As soon as they reached their destination, Wang He Di's eyes widened. "Tell me we're not going to go into that restaurant!" he exclaimed. He knew that was one of the most expensive restaurants in town. Yue smiled and started to reach the entrance, but Dylan stopped her by taking her hand. "I know what you're doing. I told you I don't want anything for the car. If you really want to have dinner here, I'll pay the bill" he said seriously. Yue rolled her eyes, exasperated. "Look, I do it for myself too... Okay? I don't want to feel indebted. I don't like it" she explained. Dylan sighed and nodded. "Okay, then. Let's go away from here. I'm sure I'd hate all those sophisticated dishes... If you really want to offer me dinner, then I want to eat in my favorite place!" he smiled at her. Yue looked surprised. "Ok!" she accepted enthusiastically, happy that the big head had finally accepted the idea of letting her pay. Back in the car, Dylan gave directions to Yue until they came to a small kiosk selling baozi. In front of it, there were some tables for customers.
