Sitting on the kitchen counter with her feet dangling, Shen Yue was eating a cup of her favorite cereal... Or at least, she was trying. That was the wedding day and her stomach was so full of emotions that it didn't seem to need any food.
Her eyes landed on a photograph hanging on the refrigerator with a heart-shaped magnet... She and Dylan laughing together, between them little Wang Laohu was looking at Didi with a smile and wide eyes.
Yue was madly in love with them.
She never thought she could love someone so much.
"Here we are! Cutie, seriously, we created the most beautiful creature in the world!
Get ready because when he grows up we will see tons of girlfriends around here!"
Yue looked at Didi and Laohu, who had just entered the room...
Her baby tiger was already dressed in his ceremonial clothes.

"Awwww! Baby, you're so handsome! I changed my mind, Didi... I want to marry him!" Yue exclaimed, and then took Laohu in her arms.
"Hey! It's too late! You can't back down anymore!" muttered Wang He Di.
Yue laughed and kissed their son.
"Mamamama!" he chuckled happily.
"I love you" Yue whispered softly.
Dylan stroked her hair.
"Do you think he knows what's going on? He seems happier than usual today" he asked her.
"Surely he has no idea what's going on... But I think he sensed it's a special day. He feels we're happier than usual too" Yue replied.
Dylan nodded, without stopping to caress her.
"Hey, baby tiger... Mama and papa are getting married, you know?"
The child made a funny noise with his mouth.
"He's saying he doesn't care" Yue said, amused.
"I had no doubts" laughed Dylan.
"You should go, the girls will arrive soon with my dress... And you have to get ready too."
"Right. But first..." Dylan picked up Wang Laohu again and sat him in his high chair, then he took Shen Yue's face in his hands and looked her straight into her eyes with a smile.
"How do you feel?" he asked softly.
Yue's legs started shaking... His deep eyes always had that effect on her.
"I can't even describe it... And you?" she whispered.
"Just like you".
Their faces slowly approached and their lips met in a very sweet kiss.
When they felt they were out of breath, they parted and hugged each other tightly.
"I love you, tiger".
"I love you more".
"Papapapapa!" Wang Laohu's cheerful voice made them laugh out loud.
"He's telling you to go or you'll be late" Yue grinned.
"Right, right! Come on, baby tiger! We have to marry mama!" Dylan exclaimed, full of enthusiasm.
"See you later, you fool."
"See you later, cutie... I can't wait".
After another long kiss, Didi and Laohu left the house to go to the Wangs and get ready.
Shen Yue watched them go with a big smile on her face.
She was ready.

If it weren't for the emotions that were unleashing so real and strong inside him, Wang He Di would have thought that this was just a dream.
Shen Yue, in an elegant white wedding dress, was advancing towards him down the aisle of the church, holding on to her father's arm... With one hand she held a beautiful bouquet of white and pink peonies. And she was so beautiful she seemed surreal.
Her huge bright eyes were on him. Dylan read his own feelings into them.
When she finally got in front of him, Wang He Di bowed to Mr. Shen and then gently hugged Yue.
From the first bench of the church, a little voice called them: "Mamamama! Papapapapa!"
Wang Laohu was in Ms. Wang's arms straching his small plump hands towards them.
Dylan and Yue laughed and blew him a kiss from afar.
The ceremony began and the two didn't stop looking at each other even for a second.
"You're beautiful" Wang He Di whispered suddenly as the celebrant spoke.
"You too" Shen Yue replied softly, blushing a little.
"I love you".
"I love you more".
"Imposs..."
"Guys, can you focus? It's time for your promises" the celebrant called them back with a smile.
Wang He Di took Shen Yue's hands and squeezed them tenderly, partly to make her feel how real what he was about to tell her was and partly to seek support.
His body was all shaking, his heart pounding like a jackhammer, and he felt he might pass out or burst into tears at any moment.
Was it like that for everyone?
He didn't know.
But he was sure he would remember for a lifetime how he felt the day he married his little tiger.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
When he opened them again, Yue was still there looking at him with her wonderful smile and her eyes full of love.
He took courage and began to speak in a trembling voice.
"Our love story started with a very ridiculous Hey, cutie. I still remember the way you looked at me that day. No woman had ever given me such a look... As if I was an annoying mosquito to chase away as soon as possible! In a few words you destroyed my ego and years and years of experience in the field of female conquests. That night I failed miserably. But then... Well, fate gave me the best gift I could receive in life: it brought you back to me. And I lost my mind for you, completely. Now I look at you and I think that you, my little tiger, are my first time. You are the first time that I have felt my heart pounding for a simple look, you are the first time I have lost my breath in front of a smile, the first time that I have felt protected in a hug, the first time that I haven't felt alone, the first time that I have made love, the first time that I caressed a baby bump and that I died of fear in a delivery room... You are my first kiss, my first love, my first Yueyue Cake. You took me by the hand and brought me into this new life where everything, even the difficult moments, revolves around our love... Where nothing makes sense if you are not by my side.
My love, cutie, with this ring I promise you that I will stay with you forever, for better or for worse. I promise you that I will do everything to make you and Wang Laohu happy. I will protect you, love you and bother you forever. I love you".
Shen Yue was trying very hard to stop the tears that kept flowing down her face, in vain.
Seeing her like that, even Wang He Di couldn't hold back any longer and he hugged her to him in a warm embrace.
He left many little kisses on her head, eyes closed, heedless of all the people crying and smiling behind them.
"Ok, I'm ready" whispered Yue after a while, when she finally managed to recover.
Dylan pulled away from her and smiled softly at her.
He took her hand and slipped the wedding ring on her thin finger, with his heart in his throat.
"Go, make me cry" he teased her, encouraging her to say her promises.
Shen Yue laughed and gave him a small slap on his chest.
"Didi... Every day, when I wake up in your embrace, I thank fate for bringing me here. I never imagined that my annoying and noisy neighbor could become the love of my life. But that's how it really went. You are my annoying neighbor, my best friend, my great love, the wonderful daddy of our baby tiger... I always believed in soul mate, in eternal love... The first time we ate together at the baozi kiosk, you made fun of me about it, but you couldn't make me change my mind. I always knew that true love exists... But I didn't think it would be so powerful.
What I feel for you, Didi, is so strong and profound that I can't even describe it.
You're everything for me. I can't imagine a day without your sweet smile or your funny laughter... Without your cuddles and your jokes...
I want to spend my whole life like this, with you, with all the beauty and love that only you know how to carry in my every day. For you and Wang Laohu I would do anything, my love. With this ring, I promise you that I will take care of you, cause you're my world, and that I will love you forever.
I love you".
Yue slipped the wedding ring onto Wang He Di's finger, his face wet with tears just like hers, with trembling hands, then she smiled at him.
"I made you cry, you fool" she whispered.
The celebrant laughed and proclaimed them husband and wife.
Dylan and Yue kissed so passionately that the guests were forced to turn away, amused.
"Mamamamamama!"
In small steps, supported by Ms. Shen, Wang Laohu joined them at the altar.
Dylan picked him up.
"Do you want to kiss the bride?"
The kid leaned towards Yue and the girl gave him a butterfly kiss on his lips.
"We did it, baby tiger! We married mama!"
"Mamamama!" Laohu exclaimed with a smile.
"Mamamama!" Wang He Di repeated happily.
Yue burst out laughing and wrapped them both in a hug.
"I love you so much" she said.
"We too. Forever."

The celebrations moved to a restaurant near the church.
The spirit was really cheerful... After a hearty dinner, the guests moved to the center of the room to dance together.
Embraced in the center, swinging in place, there were the newlyweds.
"Isn't it incredible? We are husband and wife!" smiled Dylan.
"Yes! This golden bachelor is no longer on the square, women!" Yue raised her voice.
Dylan laughed and kissed her on the cheek.
"Hey, guys! Congratulations! Dyaln, can I steal Yue from you for a second? " Jasper walked over to them.
Wang He Di held Yue a little closer for a moment, unreasonably nervous.
"Didi..." she called him, in a low voice.
The boy released her and watched her walk away with Jasper.
He was immediately joined by Caesar.
"Stop worrying about him, you jealous fool. Yueyue just married you!" he teased him.
"Yeah, you're right" he sighed.
"Listen... The guys and I would like to tell you something..."
"Uh?"
Caesar motioned for Jaqi, Zi Wei, Xiao Wen, Emily, Connor, and Darren to come closer.
As soon as they were there, they all made a long bow to Dylan.
"What are you doing?" his eyes widened.
"Thank you for making our Yueyue so happy. And for being such a special friend to all of us. We love you, Didi" Jaqi replied.
Dylan had no words.
He threw himself into their midst and embraced them, moved.
He felt really lucky... After years of being with fake company or completely alone, it was nice to have real friends... And a family.

Meanwhile, a little further on, Jasper and Yue were dancing together.
"Thanks for inviting me, Yueyue."
"Thank you for coming. It's important to me" she replied fondly.
"You know... Earlier, during the ceremony, I thought for a moment that... Well, that it could have been you and me on that altar. And I felt relieved at how things turned out. You deserve this beautiful new life that Dylan talked about. I wish you to always be so happy with your wonderful family, Yueyue. And remember that I will always be your friend, ok?"
"Jasper... Thanks for everything, really. I wish you the best."
"Now I better let you go, I feel your husband's killer look on my neck" laughed the boy.
After a kiss on the cheek, the two separated.
Yue was about to go back to Didi, but Ms. Wang stopped her.
"Honey... I..." the woman seemed to want to say something to her, but her tears prevented her.
"Ms. Wang? Are you okay? What's going on?" Yue was worried.
"Call me mom, okay? And yes, I'm fine. Just... Thank you, Yue. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Shen Yue smiled with shining eyes and hugged her tightly.
She felt that everything was perfect.
"Yue? Laohu is looking for you" her father came to her with the baby in his arms and Yue immediately took him.
"Hi, my love! Uuuh there's something stinky here... Shall we go to papa?"
"Papapapapa!"
The girl laughed and joined Wang He Di calling: "Papapapapa!"
He turned to her.
"Papapapapa is here!" he exclaimed with a smile.
"Ouch! What's this stink?!" he added.
"Your son has a present for you" Yue grinned, passing Laohu into his arms.
"Tsk. And you wanted to marry him in my place? My poo doesn't smell bad like his" snorted Dylan.
"Yours is worse" she replied.
"Hey! That's not true!"
"Grr!"
"Oh... I love it when you roar, tiger"
Dylan gave her a provocative look and she pinched his cheek.
"Go change the baby tiger's nappy, you fool!"
"I'm going, I'm going! GRRRRRR!"
"Go!"
"SHEN YUE IS MY WIFE!" Wang He Di yelled as he walked to the restaurant bathroom.
Their families and friends around cheered loudly as Yue blushed.
She blew a kiss from afar to Dylan.
In her head, a thought warmed her heart and made her smile: "He's my husband."
